I enjoy the whole "Magical girl" idea. But I don't know any other good one from what I've seen.
The ones I have watched... Madoka, Cardcaptor Sakura, and I don't know if you would count Dokuro-chan.

I really enjoy these anime. I'll watch almost anything you recommend.

There's the classic Sailor Moon. And there's Kobato. She's magical and its a love/comedy. I really enjoyed it.
and there's Karin but its about a vampire and its also a romantic comedy.

Depends on how you define a magical girl really. Any girl with magic? Slayers would be a good choice...

I'd recommend Sora No Otoshimono. Very funny, but alot, and I mean alot, of adult humor so don't watch it with parents or young children around haha.
