I like them both, but if I had to make a choice then:
- If hot then Coffee
- If cold then Tea
I've been waning off of coffee significantly lately. It really hasn't been helping me wake up at all, and upsets my tummy later on in the day. Now, I still am in love with the flavor and probably will have it in the evening every now and then, but not in the morning anymore.
Actually, throwing a Peppermint in my tea helps wake me up more now. It's odd but it works.
I really love coffee and drink it all the time, plus, it's good for you, so is tea, but I don't drink hot tea that much, just iced tea.
I honestly like both. As well as iced tea and iced coffee.
I love both, depending on the mood. However I lean towards iced tea or coffee.
I absolutely love tea.
My day is just not complete until I have had a good cup of green tea.
Coffee in the morning, tea at night.
I love both, but coffee is my addiction. I drink coffee almost everyday, I couldn't live without it.
Thanx Kp4 for the wonderful siggy & avy! ~

I love both ❤

I actually love them both, but tea has a lot of benefits and since I'm chronically ill I rather need them. Coffee and regular tea can upset my delicate guts so I drink mostly pu-erh, either shou or aged shen. When my guts can handle it I like all manner of good tea, even a decent Indian/Pakistani CTC leaf tea. And Kashmiri pink tea is superb for cold weather, it warms you up and keeps you warm. I do not as a rule use bagged tea, it's usually the dust and fannings left over from the good stuff; but if I must PG Tips is a palatable black tea.
I do love good coffee when I can have it, I have a burr grinder at home, but good tea is my daily tipple. In fact I'm going to go brew some more now. Ja na...
Soda, coffee is too hot, tea is too bitter. I love me a cold caffeinated beverage.
I enjoy cola, root beer and orange pop among others. Cola tops the list for me because of its anti-nausea properties (you can still occasionally find bottles of cola syrup for nausea in the drug store). In fact, I just got a glass of Coke after reading your post.
If your tea is bitter it is being brewed improperly. You need, first, to ensure that the water temperature is correct for the type of tea you wish to brew. Just as important is to use good (no, good) tea and to avoid steeping it for too long. Any longer than three minutes for most black teas--for some teas that is an astronomical amount of time--and you are ruining it. The leaves begin to discharge their tannins in the water, making it bitter and decreasing the bioavailability of the caffeine; so it's an all-around Bad Idea. You might also consider chai from the Indian subcontinent; you can find good CTC leaf, jaggery and chai masala at an Indian grocer. Otherwise you have to get it pre-made.
You can use regular sugar and make your own chai masala but it's not as good and making your own chai masala is a hassle and expensive if your cupboard isn't well-stocked. Anyway Indian/Pakistani milk chai isn't bitter either.
All of that being said, tea is often going to be hotter than coffee--up to seventy degrees hotter--so you might not want.
Anyway, whether you try my suggestions or you decide it's not worth the trouble and eschew tea forever, my work here is done.
