Anthropomorphic characters. Any cross between humans and animals ranging through whole spectrums. Commonly referred to as "Furries". They show up in a ton of animes liek Devil Lady, Outlaw Star, Dragonball, Pokemon, Digimon, Monster Rancher, Inuyasha, Naruto, Bleach, and more.

...Anyway on-topic. Anthro characters are awesome. I love them in any sort of media, from videogames to books to anime to (clean) fanart. Having plain humans as the only race in a story (especially a supernatural story) can be boring.

That said, Rule 34 can get pretty fockin weird with them. I had a friend that would actually order certain "accessories" from this certain site he showed us. This site was quite literally a furry pr0n shop from what I remember. I don't know why he felt the need to show us this, but he did, and I remember just being like



I didn't need to see or know anything of that tyvm.

I think I'm going to publish a book on this subject. So far all I can find are art books. Should fill a niche.

I don't think anything about them. If they have a reason to be, and fit a plot, then it's all good. I just don't like them when their whole intent is to be "cute" or whatever.

I can't recall watching anything specifically furry though, so I don't have any favorites. I do watch MLP on occasion, but they aren't really furry in my opinion.

Personally I love furries, here are some examples:

The entire cast of star fox

or like miliana from fairy tail or blair from soul eater

and lots more, as long as it is kinda close to human it's good

Anyway a lot of superheroes are furries. Look at the teen Titans... aside from the time Mumbo turned them all into talking animals.

Cyborg is out obviously...

Robin and Raven both have the bird thing going on plus Raven is only half human.

Yeah basically like that, just someone/something you can hang out with in public without literally everybody running away by just looking at him/her/it
for example: a giant spider that can talk and is friendly, but that's just scary XD, just enough 'human' in it/him/her to go out in public with, my limit is a talking mammals, fishes or reptiles and that's it (as long as they're friendly)
