The street lights flicker, and suddenly the click of her heels on the pavement becomes ominous and threatening. She glances to either side, but sees nothing. Still, there is that feeling that something bad is going to happen to her, and she can’t help but to stop to look over her right shoulder. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Not a soul is in sight. Usually she would at least see a few people walking about, but then again she didn't usually walk home so late in the evening. The cashmere scarf tightens around her slender throat as she pulls it more snugly, blocking out the harsh cold air of the city.
