Yes it is. It takes place exactly a year after K/K-Project ends. I don't know exactly where the movie ties into the series. K: The Forgotten Kings which I still need to watch.

Right now I'm watching Soul Eater. Thus far I'm enjoying it since it's being loyal to the manga, and the manga is pretty epic.

They cuaght up too quickly. You will dislike it later in the series. To be truly respective to the manga they will have to do like a "brotherhood" re-boot.

I started watching Gate, and a Digimon Tri recently. And a slew of other series.
