Imagination


As I look upon the green prairies
My eyes get filled with tears.
Centaurs , Minotaurs and faeries
Yet suddenly it all disappears.

Such a beautiful fantasy
Exists only inside my head,
Though quickly I start to see
The harsh reality calling to me
Oh , why couldn't I stay here instead?
Riding dolphins in the sea...

In this world I am the ruler
And there's no such thing as sadness
For this reality is much gentler,
Filled with adventure , joy and happiness.

So I cant imagine greater sorrows
Than to be without being,
To see while never seeing
The magical reality that after dreams follows.

This is the first poem I've ever completely wrote... Usually i am never happy with them so i always throw them away.

Feedback is appreciated , and i am not a native English speaker , so if you see anything wrong , please do point it out.

This is good. Especially for your first poem and the fact that you are not an native English speaker o.o
Personally, I love it because it reminds me of a poem I wrote a while back with a similar theme. Fantasy is so much more appealing than everyday life. Only one thing I would change and it's probably just a typo anyways but when I read the poem I saw that you had "tough" but that didn't really make sense so I quickly realized that it should have been "though." It threw me off a little. Also, how come you don't capitalize your "I"s? ._.

Thanks for the feedback ,you were right , it was a typo , I just didn't notice it. Fixed it and capitalized all the "I"'s...
And you are right , fantasy is a lot better than reality.
