First American Made Airbus A321 Flies

Bear with me while I strut my pride, but on Monday we at the Airbus Final Assembly Line and Delivery Center in Mobile, Alabama just had our first assembled plane fly for the first time.

I'm so happy that not only did it fly well, but also had perfect lateral trim too. Because the last thing I want to do is a flap/slat asymmetry rig. @.@;;

I honestly misread the title as "files" instead of "flies." Though you'd gone rogue and leaked all the inside info.

Lol the production took awhile because we were testing a lot of jigs and tooling, but it was planned for and expected. I believe the full assembly took about 7-8 months in the FAL. But that's not including the build time and travel time for the sub assemblies to get everything here in Mobile. We're still doing a lot of training and testing, so it'll be about a month before it gets delivered to JetBlue.

Congrats, its always nice to see the moment of fruition of all of your work

Btw I really like jet blue, the few times I've flown with them have always been a good experience. It'll be nice to see more airlines follow suit with purchasing US manufactured aircrafts
