NC tries to ban gay marriage constitutionally

I was reffering to america as a whole and the way it bans so many things compared to Europe and other countries in the world

historically speaking, what happens in New England, usually trickles down to become the rest of the nation. which is usually why I'm optimistic on social issues like these.

Oh yea, I'm not worried at all about if gay marriage will eventually be legalized in the US nationwide. The question is when.
I guess if we wait for 40 or 50 years, then this could eventually happen, but that's a loooooong time lol, so that's why it might be quicker if the Supreme Court could just step in already. It probably will, soon, since a very big case is already before the 9th circuit Court of Appeals.

I'm saying next year. If the prop 8 case is ruled in favor of being over ruled when the supreme court takes up the case by the end of this/next year, it becomes the law of the land. effectively making it legal everywhere all at once.

Generally when Gay Marriage/Adoption/Existence/Et cetera is brought up as something for the electorate to vote on it's because the Republican party feels a need for some reason to ensure that every single anti-gay rights and therefore implicitly Republican voter is accounted for.

Well, they found a new species of dolphin and a discovered a planet 200 light years away that has 2 suns, other than than though, the whole election stuff has been a bit bleed dry, and there's really not much else going on right now.

But not everyone (in fact from what I hear almost no one) supports that whole War on Terror stuff. I sure don't. And I sure am NOT proud of my country and especially state, seeing as how I'm in North Carolina, and I have gay friends. It hurts me bad thinking that this could actually happen to them, and we can't do what we want... I mean, whatever happened to "Everyone has the right to the pursuit of happiness" Isn't gay marriage happiness? To some it is, others.. well they probably wouldn't care, so long as they could be together.

So, a type of dolphin you can only yell "Look, mamma, it's an Australian dolphin!" after you've ran some skull and DNA tests on it, and a polyandric planet baffles non-muslim scientists; that's real nice, deary.
