With my paranoia, the way facebook, myspace, etc is connected to everything (including af) disturbs me more everyday. Though in the long run anything on the interent can be viewed by anyone. The commercialing is what it is. But all it takes is that one person to see the cracks and slip into what most would consider secure information.

Not exactly. I honestly don't care so much who looks at my stuff and I doubt people are really looking at my stuff too, I'm not that interesting. lol

How can you be so sure? What's not interesting to you may be interesting to someone else!
For me, I don't really think of it much because then the internet wouldn't seem as fun if I'm always worrying.

Hm. Maybe~ but it doesn't bother me completely. (: So far I have no problem with social networks, I really use it to stay in touch with friends, family and keep in track what goes on.
For people watching me, whatever. LOL And if they'll talk to me and creep me out, I'll tell them flat out to gtfo. ;P Yeah all that stuff.

I don't know. There seems to be a difference from looking at someone's stuff and overdoing it.. For example, going on myspace and looking for information on people can be fine, but then comes the time when it can also become slightly eerie. Stalkers for example.

I've got FB and myspace but I don't really check them very often and I don't put too much information on it about myself. Why put so much when all the people you are connected to actually knows you already? And yes, I find it irritating when everything's all connected because you just feel like there is no privacy left with the internet, it gets creepy. = =#

I used to have a Facebook/MySpace but some idiot thought he was the ("S" that ends with hit) and hijacked them, but I never bothered on recreating one again. Too lazy.

I am on Facebook. There isn't anything on my profile that most people don't already know about. Sex? Birthday? Hometown? Political affiliation? Religious views? None of these things are really a secret (although I have kept the location of my skeleton collection off of Facebook...nobody needs to know where that is).

I got both Myspace And Facebook, but pretty much everybody i know migrated to Facebook when it got popular. I find both to be pretty irritating and tend to start unwanted drama on the web. Besides I'm pretty sure nobody will be interested in me on there and would fly out to Detroit.

Anyway, this thread reminded me that I have a facebook account I registered a long time ago when my friends begged me to do so, which I don't check out at all... I'll just log in to see if there's anything and then log out for a few months again.

Yeah. Strange eggcornswiki and spurious sentence fragments happens when I'm very distracted while making major revisions to the contents of a post. Typically, I don't even look at the screen, but edit from how I remember the post. Tends to invite all sorts of linguistic artifacts.

I only go on AF and that tends to keep me busy enough, so I doubt I'll go to myspace or facebook or 4chan or whatever.

Just as long as you do your social networking with moderation. Too much and you'll have no life. Too little and you might not be able to keep in touch with friends.

Eh, sometimes. I haven't really had it happen to me, except when I started college and my floor mates had looked me up on Facebook. It wasn't all that weird, though.
