When it comes to furries, I'm more indifferent than anything else. Unless we're talking about catgirls, which I have a higher affinity for than other human-animal hybrids. I love all animals, but I've always been more of a cat person.

In contrast to my previous post, do half-demon girls count? They aren't exactly "furry", in the literal sense, but have the desired affect for me. Take Claire from Claymore for example. Both her human and awakened states are quite attractive to me.

Oh please, I'm sure they were just laughing because of how weird they think the fandom was, not because people got gassed.
Can't blame 'em though. They had no knowledge of the fandom and then suddenly they get a video of people dressed in animal suits slammed in their face. I'd be laughing too, to be fair. Hope everyone turned out OK, though.

Anyway technically Ozmosis Jones is Anthropomorphic, but not a furry because he's part of a human body while the germs he fights are furries.

It's true though, right? The very definition of furry as I know it is anthropomorphic. If they're horse shaped and not human shaped it's more like cartoon bestiality. I don't know, you're the expert so what do you think?

Another difference is furries are both male and female and actually have sex. Bronies are just socially awkward dudes.

And full disclosure, I'm not a furry but I do find the subculture intriguing and find some of it kind of hot. I can get it. I can't wrap my head around the brony thing. No offense intended towards bronies, just is what it is.

Edit: You should write a book about furries titled, Down the Rabbit Hole. lol

Actually "anthropomorphism is the practice of applying human characteristics to any non-human thing. Think Alice in Wonderland. So a furry is an animal that has human intelligence. the ability to talk, or any other human traits so it ranges from full on cats like Luna in Sailor Moon (who also turned into a human once) to elves who have no differences between them and humans in their looks besides cat-like slit pupils and pointy ears.


It also applies to werewolves, vampires, and other shape shifters.

Oddly enough over the last few months people have been buying a lot of copies of my book on furries. I guess it pays to be the only non-art book on the subject.
