The Division Beta

Who's in it? I'm playing the crappy 30 fps version first since the system gets it a day early so I'm just biting the bullet there.

Will play the PC version tomorrow. Might bother to get a PS4 code if my friends play it there as well. I'll try to get the PS4 version if anyone here wants to play.

OT: I signed up for the beta on PS4 but no code yet, unfortunately. Probably not going to get one, shame. From what my friends are telling me (they're watching a streamer) it looks like a 3rd person mix between GoW and TLOU, not bad per-se but not really as good as the hype / last years' E3 demos made it out to be (aka it again suffers from 'Ubisoft Syndrome').

If me/my friends do get it, it'll probably be on PC. I dunno, but it seems like it's again another game that won't live up to its potential.

Personally I wasn't really expecting it but just stating facts. Both console versions really look like crap. (PS4 might look better but that's still a turd with sprinkles on)

Regardless the game was fun. I really love the MMO-esque environment where you get to kill random people. Not sure if I'm go get the full game Day 1 but I liked what I played. If I get it, it'll definitely be on PC of course.

Too bad there isn't too much to do in the beta though, after completing the initial missions, all there's left to do is just try to kill the other players.

Played the beta on PC. Since I was too lazy to get a PS4 code/didn't bother, I'm too late to get it since they said they stopped sending codes.

Anyway, the game certainly looks a lot better on PC but just like Watch_Dogs, it feels like it went through that "Ubisoft Syndrome." I hope that, just like Watch_Dogs, we will be able to unlock the E3 graphics by going through the game's files.

What really bothered me tho is that there's a lot of areas to explore but they are locked out. Playing rogue can really get crazy though, considering everyone around will try to gun you down.

I saw a friend of mine live stream it last night and it looked so interesting. I really like the mechanics and the fact that it isn't in first person so I can actually play it lol

I've been playing on xbox. Changes I would make:

1. Stances. I want to be able to take a knee, run closer to the ground, go prone or supine. MGS V did this perfectly.
2. It's too easy to accidentally go rogue by accidentally hitting someone.
3. Some kind of faction system for the dead zone would be cool.
4. If everything you say can be heard by anyone within ear shot, I would like push-to-talk.
5. Fire control selection would be nice. I want to go semi-auto.

I'll be buying it when it releases.

Edit: One more thing. I'm not sure this game is going to have legs as an MMORPG shooter. That is, if the only enemy in the game is raider type bad guys. RPG's need to have a diverse body of enemy types.

Open Beta is now available for everyone on Xbox One. (or rather since earlier today). PC's and PS4's beta will be available at 7 AM EST. New missions were added to what was already available in the closed beta.

Honestly I was disappointed by the closed beta, it lacked any real depth. I understand its only a very tiny taste of the actual game but if they really wanted us to test the game out, they should have put in more content to actually test. It was more of a demo. Im hoping the changes made to the open beta will be more substantial, other then that though I feel Division has the potential to be a good time sink.
