Took care of that link with bad language in it. Plus I have a better way.
How to tell if a conspiracy theory is false:
1. Does problem in the theory affect rich people? If yes, then it's obviously false. ie: chem trails. There's no way to really control chemicals sprayed in the air at such a high altitude, (thus way crop dusters spray at low altitudes). So any chemical sprayed at 30,000 ft has a good potential to affect the nearest rich person to you as you. Therefore it's false because rich people would pay good money not to have chemicals dumped on them, or even willy nilly, at 30,000 ft.
2. Does the problem ignore actual science in lew of perceived "science", or pseudo-science? Arguing that any computer needed to land on the moon would have to more powerful than our current iPod touch devices in order to successfully do it and return, because of the difference in functionality and relative importance to the computations is false. One reason is because of Moore's Law of exponential growth (which explains how our technology has growth over the 20th and 21st Century) completely explains and debunks this theory. Another is that most of the computations were either pre-done on earth and programmed into the Apollo's computers or with the use of radio and satellite communication technology done on the earth by either massive computers or human beings (yes, humans actually crunched big numbers and complex problems back then.) and submitted to the astronauts in space via the communication lines.
Well, if it's a conspiracy theory, chances are, it's nonsense.

Anime is a lot like sex. Done right it's a beautiful act of creation that brings a little more light into the world. If it's sick and wrong... it's even better.

That's not true. Many conspiracy theories are true. For example, 911 is more or less an insider job. Also the term conspiracy theory has been used as a condescending term for discarding theories you don't agree with. Conspiracy theory is defined as a theory based on a conspiracy, or the idea that a group of people are planning something for a malicious purpose.

What's wrong with calling something bullcr@p? If it is bullcr@p, then it is bullcr@p. Bad language is overrated. I can't believe people are offended by swear words. Get a life. Stop being such pussies. Swearing is acceptable to me as long as you have a purpose for it.

If it is only a theory it is false until proven true. Much like a scientific hypothesis.

Imaginary numbers are not real. They are not even numbers... they're vectors.
Nothing wrong with it when it's true. ie: Most conspiracy theories are bullcrap. Still if one is to be a member here, then they must follow the rules. It doesn't matter what you feel is or isn't acceptable, what matters is that you can either abide by the rules set forth by the site and site administrators or leave.
Don't like the rules? Then go somewhere else that doesn't have them. Otherwise
The thing about conspiracy theories is that, if one leaves you with any amount of doubt to it's legitimacy, then it's most likely false.
Of all the conspiracy theories I'veto researched, very few hold any ground for me.
Kennedy- Many reasons for this all of which I'm too lazy to list. I had to do a research project on it in highschool and noticed that many things didn't line up or make sense.
Projekt Riese- A top secret project run by the Nazis in WWII. Was never finished, but has been virtually proven through the confessions of some Nazi officers, Discovery of the facilities, and several inventions; most notably the first Assault-rifle, submarines, and helicopters. One aspect of these projects was actually used in CoD Zombies. Die Glocke was a project Projekt Riese aimed at anti-gravitational flight, time travel/control, a
and teleportation. Of course, the project was never finished due to lack of funding and the end of WWII.
There's one about Lincoln, but I cba remembering it's details. It's what National Treasure was based around.

So how come so many people are so certain there's a conspiracy of gay people to turn everyone else gay? AnimeDude mentioned that when he did his Legend of Korra thread...
And that wasn't a fan fic. it was an original story complete with a conspiracy theory.
Now... how do we start a conspiracy?

@AmandaNerdBot : Please be careful on the interwebs. From many of your posts, it seems you have been guzzling down half-baked net theories, which is not much better than finding true enlightenment by way of a well-placed graffito on a bathroom wall where everyone has access to it and no one peer reviews the factual basis of it. Just the other day I saw you post a poorly titled and even more poorly argued sentiment that religion had zero truth value and was even a scam. Not surprisingly, you claimed to have absolute truth on the matter and then went on to say you weren't being opinionated. You even tried to use logical causality to prove religion wrong, which every green logician knows is a serious misstep. Though I thoroughly enjoyed your topic on Peak Oil (I'm being serious; that was a good thread), please find some print sources to at least supplement the net information.
I hope that is seen as a friendly suggestion. To the point, as @Clayton_n has already stated, it is funny that some of the most well-circulated conspiracy theories seem to be the ones that are supposed to be so secretive. Case in point: for the Illuminati to be so powerful and secretive, the average 13 yr. old sure knows a lot about them. Some, such as the cover up of the harmful nature of asbestos in the past, have proven to be true, but they were prosaic compared to the strange ones that circulate online today.
To be honest, there really is no way of telling. It's all just phenomena. Unless, something comes true from those conspiracy theories that actually affects dramatically us.
Well as Snowden proved conspiracies are real. I'm sure it helps that we the general public, are too stupid to know about them, let alone be involved.

Snowden shed light on many specific facets of spying and the NSA’s activities, with a few bombshells. Yet was it any surprise that the US government was spying on its citizens? This is not a criticism of the government, in case it was read that way, as I will reserve my judgment on that for now; instead, it’s simply a question. Was anyone shocked by this fact?
It’s not like the USA PATRIOT Act was hidden from the populace. Again, I don’t think this can be considered a “conspiracy” at all, and even if it was, it is certainly pedestrian when compared to the ones peddled on the interwebs.
How to look if its false mhh? Well one way would to look at your posting history
If we were involved in a vast conspiracy... why would we tell anyone?
