"Eifersucht" is an excellent song.
That might explain some stuff
The tone of D-12 - Purple Pills which is playing my ear
I should listen to Grinspoon more often.
The good people of AF go through quite a lot, a fact that is obvious when you just take a second to converse with them. They are, however, a resilient lot, and very inspiring. And they'll make it. Godspeed to them and to all the AF members to come.

like so
It's actually been quite a depressing day for me. My friend's cat, which we and his fiancée saved off the street, passed away last night during a seizure. I don't even think he was 8 months old. He was so affectionate and playful. We noticed he seemed to have quite a big belly, but recently it had been looking practically swollen, so we took him to the vet about a week ago. It turns out that he had something called FIP, which is a mutated virus that generally causes a quick death in cats. While there, the vet took out all the excess fluid that had accumulated in his abdomen, causing the swollen belly. Almost immediately after bringing him back home though, he basically started shutting down. First he wouldn't play. Then he wouldn't clean himself. Then he wouldn't eat (we had to give him formula through a syringe like we did when we first found him).
It was heartbreaking to see it escalate so quickly, with nothing we could do but to try and keep him as comfortable as we could. We had planned on having him put to sleep today to save him anymore suffering, but last night he seized in my friend's fiancée's arms and just... died. All I can hope is that the seizure came quick so that he wasn't aware of what was happening and didn't feel any pain. We're all really sensitive to pets so it's gonna be a tough time until we can get over what happened...
RIP Ivy, (AKA L'il Scruffy). You will be missed.
We already had another cat at the time we found Scruff, and since my apartment doesn't allow animals, my friend was hesitant to keep him. He was very small and frail still, and we weren't sure if we'd have the means to take care of him (especially since they were still busy moving into their own place and didn't have a lot of money to spare). He grew up happily and healthy though, and the two cats ended up getting along really well. Unfortunately FIP turned out to be something that couldn't be prevented no matter how well we took care of him... I guess that's what a terminal illness is though... Even if he had been diagnosed with it early on, it wouldn't have made hardly any difference. Well... as we all agreed on, at least it was quick in happening and didn't leave him and us suffering over it for too long.
Thanks for the condolences though. He wasn't around for a long time, but he still made an impact on our whole circle of friends with how lively and sweet he was.
I don't know where to draw the line between hungry and board.
