Haven't listened to Dir En Grey since Uroboros was released.
Gazette I listen to from time and time and they're pretty cool. "Reila" is an epic song <3
No power in the 'verse can stop me...
Honestly I've stopped listening to Diru since Dozing Green was released. I did not like the way they headed afterwards...I personally like the Gazette better but they've become a more hit or miss type of band.

Dir en grey, by far. They have a more eclectic discography, for one. For two, only 50% of their songs are generic as opposed Gazette's 99%.
Any way you wanna break this down, Dir en Grey will win..... Gazette has stayed true in most part to the orginal image and sound of the band but Dir en Grey not just on looks but on sound from album to album takes on so manyyyy different concepts/ideas (whatever you wanna call it) and that's why you find every Dir en Grey fan saying this album was the best or this tour was the best. I think its unfair to match Gazette up to Dir en Grey. Dir en Grey has shattered the Asian music wall with the rest of the world and sells out concerts (still) in other countries, plays at the biggest festivals in Brazil, Europe etc. Goes on huge tours such as Family Values Tour. Toured Japan with Linkin Park. I like both bands a lot, seen both live and got autographed Drum Head from them (my thing...).
