Chinese Buffet

Has anyone had these little stuffed crab shell things they have at Chinese buffet? I really love them and I wonder what they are called I think its Poocha or something like that. Anyhoo I was wondering if anybody on here could help me learn more about them and talk about what yall like best from ethnic buffets :3

Well, with Poo Cha (which I don't think is inherently Chinese), the procedure is actually quite simple (well, I'm being relative at the moment; I live in a Chesapeake state, so I know a lot about crabs). You take a crab, remove the meat from the shell, and then you stuff the now hollow shell with a mixture of the meat and various spices (pepper, coriander, etc). Its not uncommon to add other meat to mix, like pork. Then ya eat the delicious flesh mixture.

I can't really pick one dish that I like from a buffet. But yakisoba is one of my favorites.



Of course, I almost always eat it with meat.

Yeah, sometimes when the moment strikes us, we just take the crab, cook it, and eat da meat right out da shell.

And every house in the southern East Coast needs some of this stuff.



I will admit, I have put this on stuffed crabs before (and popcorn...and chips...and chicken...and french fries).

If I want Chinese food, I'll get my family to cook them.
They make it good for certain people who are picky, it's not really Chinese food. I have authentic Chinese food at home. :3 I'm no fan of buffets, I eat so little. >_<

I did some of those (wo)buffets .. and loads of it are yummy! <3
However, Im not so much a fan of seafood. Sorry.

I hate to crush your dreams but anything at american chinese buffets are not "authentic" chinese foods...

Here's a prime example....

1. Snow crabs are not chinese
2. Crawfish are not chinese
3. Fried chicken is not chinese
4. Ice cream [bluebell] is not chinese
5. French fries are not chinese
6. Steak is not chinese
7. Donuts are not chinese

And I can eat all of that at my local chinese buffet.... Just because they give stuffed crab a nice new chinese name with maybe a few chinese spices probably.. It's not authentic and you can get it at any seafood restaurant with the title "STUFFED CRAB". Because.. That's pretty much all it is, is stuffed crab. Nice n simple.
