Who's your favorite super hero?

I really don't have a fave super hero but if i had to pick it would be Spiderman or someone like him, so who's your favorite super hero and why?

Superman probably. He looks crap but he has the best powers. There's really too many to choose from though.

Hm.. I never really kept up with the whole "superhero" thing cuz theall the shows and comic books were the same:
"Threat to the city, hero fights villian, good triumphs over evil, the end"
But if I had to pick, I'd choose Spiderman, Catwoman (got her for a quiz result once x.x) or Batman, they all seem pretty cool. I like the darker superheroes ^.^

Thing about Superman is he's so over-rated. First he would jump high, super strong, and could run fast. Then he'd be put in stupid situations that called for him to have something else, or example.

"Hey...he can't get out of here unless he had Heat Ray vision! Let's give him that!"

My friend Josh pointed this out. And I totally agree with it. So they kept adding until, he was god...BUT Batman would be the BEST Super Villian...he like...knows everyones Identity, and alos beholds Kryptonite. SO he can kill Superman, OohhhWWWNNNNEEEDDD!!!! Lol

He might not have super powers.... but he has brains..... and he knows how to use his money to be a superhero....BATMAN....he is my superhero...reason, he is cool. and he acts like a villain.....

Okay, seriously, What ISN'T like that? Video Games? The band of heroes or lone hero defeats some evil power to restore peice to everything.
Anime? A group of heroes use their super abilities to defeat the forces of evil.
Books? The army of honorable humans and elves fight the evil orc forces of Sauron to restore peace and happiness to everything.
However, it's less common for those themes to be shoved down your throat in most media these days, Comics included.


As for me...


DC:
Batman: C'mon, he's The Batman. Enough Prep-Time and he can beat just about everyone. I can't stand Batman in Justice Leauge comics and stuff however because he's typically out in broad day-like fighting super threats.
I hate that. I like Batman better when he's in his own series, in a detective roll, solving crimes and making citizens arrests.

I've also taken a liking to Green Arrow, The Flash, Huntress, and Black Canary.

Marvel:
Spider-Man: I like his crappy life. No matter how much crap happens who still comes out of it okay. Makes it easier to relate to the Peter Parker character since we all have similar problems, which makes Spider-Man himself more interesting.

Others include: Iron Man (But I still hate him), Hulk (however his current actions dictate actions that aren't that of a super hero), Thor, Spider-Woman, She-Hulk, Deadpool, and Various X-Men.

Marvel:

Spider-man basically for the same reasons as Deadpool. He's a superhero, but has tries to maintain a normal life. His powers weren't bestowed upon him, nor did he ask for such extraordinary abilities. There are times that Spider-man wishes he had never put up his tights and times where he gave up the fight for crime altogether. A lot of people love Spider-man because you can relate to the guy. He's not out there cleaning up the streets for fame, but because it's the right thing to do. His love life is pretty tragic too. In my opinion, Gwen Stacy would have made a better match for Peter than Mary Jane, but I grew to like Mary Jane as well.

Honorable Mentions: Wolverine because his past is just too complex haha and the combonation of an adamantium body with his fast regeneration mutant ability is just too awesome. The Hulk because if matched up against anyone in the Marvel Universe, he would most likely win. Why? Well when the Hulk gets madder he gets stronger, and he can damn near excel his strength to infinity if given the chance, plus everyone in the Marvel Universe tried to get rid of him because he's "too dangerous." I think that says a mouthful.

DC:

Batman because his fight for justice is different from Superman. He pursues justice out of vengence for his murdered parents, and uses that to fuel his crimefighting endeavors. His methods are dark, and the way he thinks and outwits his opponents is awesome. Some people may argue that Bruce Wayne is Batman's alter-ego, making Batman the dominant persona which makes him more interesting (at least to me). I also like how he avoids the use of guns because of the fact his parents were murdered with a gun. I'm sure if he wanted to, he'd be a sharpshooter (hell he knows where to fire that grappling hook in a tight spot), but limiting his arsenal to Batarangs and other simple contraptions (caltrops, explosives, etc.) makes his fights more interesting and somewhat realistic when compared to a fight between two superpowered heroes.

Honorable Mentions: The Flash because if he wasn't so naive and immature he would be able to own a lot of people in the DC universe. Green Lantern because the idea of a universal police force interests me, and Lantern's power is generated through his will power so its not about having a strong body but a strong heart/frame of mind, plus his power allows you to travel through space and manipulate your ring into any object you can concoct in your mind.

I'm not an ultra comic book buff, but I've been picking up more and more comics recently because manga can get stale at times, and I grew up to figures like Spider-man, Batman, Superman in my mind, not Uzumaki Naruto, Kurosaki Ichigo, or Monkey D. Luffy. So deep down I will value these figures more than my anime favorites.
