As a female who likes females, I agree. Modest women are much more attractive! ^.^

I try my best! ;D
But in all seriousness, In all honesty looks DO MATTER to a degree, there has tro be a spark there, but say a girls "average" looking but has a great personality, I would choose her over someone thats "smoking hot" with the personality of a broomstick.

Yes, I agree. Personality matters a lot to me.
Anyway, this doesn't only happen on the internet. In real life, people judge others by first impression, which is usually appearance. I'll just give an example. It's easier to get hired if you're attractive than if you're not. Of course that's over-generalization, but it does happen.

Thanks to Ms Lucy for this awesome, funny gif.
The person that you are now is not the person that I used to know. You're becoming a stranger that I've never met before. Not liking the change though.
Yeah... that. ^ Otherwise, there's no point in complaining about the consequences.
I totally agree, as irl I see such things happen. To me what's really sad is how the quality of being "attractive" is mostly dictated by the media and thus misplaced. Influences of such like to drive the idea that one must be of a certain form to be considered "good looking". This form is mostly unrealistic and therefore rarely attainable; moreover, it's based on an ideal whose features tend to favour a particular race (thus, it effectively discriminates against the natural features of pretty much every other race) - hence the reality that many celebrities of other races do things like skin bleaching, horrendous dieting, and/or undergo feature-altering surgery to approach the elitist realm of "attractive".
Generally I don't have a problem with the idea of people trying to look as good as they can - it just seems to me that many are "improving" their looks for the wrong reasons (i.e. under media influence and pier pressure). In any case, I'm more likely to be attracted to a person whose appearance is founded on more wholesome principles, like keeping in shape, looking clean and smart, and embracing their natural features than a person whose imagination is so dull that their appearance is comparable to a plastic doll in a toy store.

@Chigumi
You've got to admit you liked the attention. You should be grateful for compliments flying your way o_O; 'Cause seriously, not everyone have the possibility to say they look good.
But it's human nature to like someone who's attractive appearance-wise. The trick is to have a personality that matches that attractiveness. If you want to be judged for your personality rather than your looks, don't show yourself off on forums. End of story.
