Q: Have you ever been to Japan: the Land of the Rising Sun? If so, what was your experience like?
My Wi-Fi, it's gone out . . .
I have not but I want to, it's been my dream to visit Japan since I was 12. I am having difficulty learning the language and that's what's holding me back, well and the fact I'm broke.
No.
My boyfriend keeps going without me. D: I wanna go!
My favorite anime has a ton of on location sites that I'd really love to visit, such as the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, and other things in that area. Other animes too, like the TV Tokyo building.
But I'd want to go regardless of those locations.
I wouldn't mind going, but it's not at the top of my to-do list.
I have not been there but I hope one day I will.
I always thought going there will be as fun as going to see the zoo, but if they'll see a hairy, smelly, one-eyebrowed european charging through the crowds, they'll think it's reverse-zoo day to them.
About five times. Got an apartment for a couple of months there once too, and kinda want to go next year as well. It's a very interesting place to visit, and I always enjoy my time there.

I might have been there about 3 times now, but you'll never knnooowwww nya nya nya.
....it's a pretty neat place, but weaboos would be advised to leave their weebness behind when visiting. Real life in Japan is not an anime. Shocking, I know, I'll give you a moment to gather yourself. You could also get around well enough without knowing the language but it does still help to know some nihongo. The locals will respect you a little more as well for making an attempt to know some of their language.
I've been twice, and I miss it every single day. It's a beautiful country with fascinating and rich culture. I'm off to Europe this year, but hoping to get back to Japan again next year or the year after.
I just want to be in Tokyo, wandering aimlessly, enjoying my surroundings. I also want to be beneath a cherry blossom tree on a cool summer day, reading one of my books. Or revising one! lol
My Wi-Fi, it's gone out . . .
Just got back from traveling south-east Asia and stopped by Tokyo for a few days along the way. Got to say hi to Godzilla and unexpectedly got involved in a battle between a group of magic girls and some universe-threatening evil. Just another day in Japan.
...so actually it was a bit more mundane than that, but still very nice. Too often, traveling through Japan makes me wonder "why can't we have that?". Why can't we have clean streets, organized cities, non-existent violent crime, etc. It's not all cherry blossoms of course, like any place on earth, but what Japan does do right it does so right you almost forget about the wrong.
