I did not know 100% which section to put this under so I chose this one, anyways, I was browsing the web and I heard they are coming out with a Resident Evil 4 movie starring Leon Kennedy. Unlike the other movies, this one is supposed to be animated.

It would have to be animated because there is no present known male actor that can do Leon the justice of his character (I have thought about this since I first got RE4...)

O_o i dunno what version of 3 you watched that was animated. There was CG for some parts of it but yeah... not like this one looks to be.

The film will hit DVD at the end of December and will contain a making of featurette, voice bloopers, character profiles, an interview with Leon, and a collection of trailers. Check above for some artwork. "

Resident Evil 3 was not animated. The first three Resident Evil's were not animated, and Degeneration is the first Resident Evil to be animated, and also, just read the link I gave you, all your questions are answered on that page.

I saw the trailer last night. looks really cool,it's like Final Fantasy Advent Children graphics with resi characters. A resident evil movie worth watching...hopefully (i didnt mind the 2nd movie actually )

Does anyone know when it actually takes place? is it between Code Veronica and Resident Evil 4? thats what i was thinking since it's got Leon and Claire as the lead.Probably dead wrong, but whatever...

Oh, sweet! I heard about it, I just didnt know it was coming that soon. Too bad they said at the end of December. It would have made a great treat for xmas.

But, is it me or does the CG style look like a much cleaner version of the animation in Leon and Claire's debut game?

And was that William Berkin's mutant I saw at the end of it? How...wha...huh? o.O

It takes place after 4 from what i've read.

The second game taking place in Sept. 1998, the movie will be taking place in 2005. Sense RE4 took place in 2004, it's going to be after Leon was in Europe.

Sense Racoon City was blown up in 1998, I doubt Birkin was hidden for 7 years just to show up in an airport. But who knows. I figured we'd never see his daughter again but it appears we will be seeing her in the new game.

That is true. But the monster you see in the movie clip looks similar to this one of Birkin http://pagesperso-orange.fr/christophe.legrand/Re2/boss_william_m3.jpg but with some differences. Like its eye is blueish, not red on the shoulder, it appears to have a beak like face, and only one set of arms.
But what keeps me from believing that the creature we see is indeed Birkin is the fact that he continued to mutate.http://pagesperso-orange.fr/christophe.legrand/Re2/boss_william_m4.jpg and then to http://usuarios.lycos.es/daniel/hpbimg/birkin5.jpg.
I'm just doubtful it is him.

It very well could be something infected with the G-virus. As we know Sherry ended up in Wesker's hands. So maybe the virus did as well. We'll just have to wait a few months to find out
(and alas all you have to do to find those pictures is to put birkins name in google.)
