My Hero Academia on Toonami/Adult Swim!

I dunno if you guys have seen this show, or know anything about it, but it's one of the best anime's I've seen in a while. It's currently on season 3, (Season 1 had 13 eps, 2 had 24 I think, and 3 will have 25) but Season 1 will begin airing on Toonami on May 5th at 11:30 PM!!!

I highly recommend this series if anyone hasn't seen it (And you like the genre). But honestly, having said that, generally I HATE superhero stuff, but this series isn't a typical superhero story. It has a very unique premise. It's very interesting.

(Without spoiling too much, all this is revealed in the first 1-2 eps) In this universe, most of the population (I forget the ratio, but at least 3/4ths) are born with a 'Quirk', a supernatural ability. Some are amazing (To weild fire or ice) some are fairly useless (A guy that has 'sticky balls' growing out of his head, but they do serve a purpose occasionally) and then those who have useful but weird powers. (Lasers shoot out of their belly button.)

But the main character, Izuku Midoriya is one of the people born without a quirk. But since he was very young he dreamed to be a superhero. He get's made fun of at school for not having a power. Even though he didn't have a quirk he was determined to be a superhero. - even though it happens in the second episode, I won't spoil too much, and just say, somehow unexpectedly, he is given a second chance.

I really enjoy this show and just wanted to let others know the dub would be airing soon.

HeroAca is a really a very solid show. It knows the tropes of its genre, and manages to avoid most of the pitfalls that can doom a series. I've been enjoying both the anime and the manga, and the cast of characters is great.

I watched 1 episode of this and thought...I'd rather watch Food Wars on Viewster, which is a far superior anime than this kiddy-shonen stuff. I would rather see something like Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan on Adult Swim, it's far more entertaining than My Hero Academia!

I'm giving it a chance, but it does seem redundant. The main premise is too similar to Black Clover, The Irregular at Magic High School, and a few other series where the main character lacks the powers/abilities of others, but you would never know.
