Q: Which transformation sequence in a magical girl anime is the best to you?

As a child I always liked Sailor Mercury's bubbly transformation in Sailor Moon. It looked so cool. Second is Sailor Mars's.

I can't say I have a favourite, but for some reason I get very emotional and teary every time I see a Sailor Moon transformation! I think It's because it's so nostalgic. And in the Madoka Rebellion movie, when they transformed - OMG I thought that was EPIC!!!!

I was not being totally serious there.

But there is a cultural difference. Young teen girls shown naked does not go over well in the US. I remember the nude scene with Eri in FLCL getting some negative responses. It didn't bother me any, but it did PO a few viewers not familiar with Japanese culture.

Sort of the same with the family bathing scene in My Neighbor Totoro. Some Americans were shocked, but in Japan it was a normal loving family scene.

I always thought the transformation sequences in Fresh Precure were really cool, especially Cure Berry's and Cure Passion's. With Cure Berry, it looked like she was ice skating or something, I always thought that was awesome. And with Cure Passion, aside from her extremely pretty outfit, the diving in the water bit at the beginning always caught my eye.
