Anime Animal Characters

Give us your favorite and not so favorite animal anime characters, and briefly why you chose them.

Favorite: Kyubey from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. He’s some sort of magical cat, or so he appears. He is also so cute and peppy and happy and cuddly – and evil as all hell. He is ready to literally feed off the suffering of Madoka and the magical girls. I like that in a cat.

Not so favorite: Happy from Fairy Tale. Another cat, except this one irritates me. His mere presence basically lets us know there is little in Fairy Tale for an adult audience. So why bother?

Well keep in mind that I am a picky anime watcher so i haven't seen a toooon of anime.


Then, on top of that, it seems from the topic you are looking for ACTUAL animals, so no Digimon or Pokemon, and I think Meow from Space Dandy would be disqualified, even though he's basically a glorified cat: but no, he's a Beatlejuiceian. XD.


But I did think of one in the mean time: I always liked Akumaru from Naruto.

Aisha from Outlaw Star? I don't know how I would classify her. A cross-breed? No, not exactly. She is an alien.

That's not such a popular opinion. But it still is so true. One season of Fairy Tale was enough for me.

I've reached the part in One Piece that introduces Chopper. He is an interesting character. But the otherwise good (FUNIMATION, NOT 4KIDS) dub cast a really annoying voice for him. But otherwise he's interesting, and I'm interested to see where his story goes.
