Live-Action Anime

What are your favorite live action animes? By which I mean movies and TV series based on anime, with anime elements to them (particularly creatures or characters from Japanese Mythology) and hair that comes in primary colors and so forth acted out with live people.

Examples include but are not limited to:

Kung Fu Hustle

The Matrix

Power Rangers

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Teen wolf

Sky High (The Japanese one, not the Disney one)

DOA (The movie)

I liked the two Death Note films (three if you count the last one which was actually post-Death Note). I like the way the story developed differently from the series.

There was a Boogiepop Phantom live action film which was pretty good. Actually, it was based on the original books and not the anime, or so I am told.

Those are the only ones I have seen.

And I always knew Burger King was evil.

Well, I did watch part of a Ouran High School Host Club movie, but I didn't have time to finish watching it. It was OK, so I'll probably finish it one day.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is not an anime. While it did have an anime in Japan around 1994, the original source material is not an anime. It is a comic book from 1984 by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird The original series, from 1987 to 1997, isn't an anime. This and the 1984 comic series are what the live-action movie from 1990 is based on. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise has many Japanese elements in it, like Oroku Saki and Hamato Yoshi, yet it isn't an anime.

I liked the anime. I was hoping for a second season. I would like to see the developing relationship between Tamaki and Haruhi.

Apparently it's pretty popular in china and Stephen Chow makes a lot of these.
