What is it like to be a guy/girl/homo/bi/a-sexual?

Anyway, belonging in a specific sexual orientation, I started to wonder what is it like to be in a different sexual orientation. Not that I really want to change it, but if I imagine myself in a parallel world having a different sexual orientation from what I have in this world, I wonder how different can it be?

So my question is: How do you live your life having your specific sexual orientation?

am a straight guy; I like girls, and hate guys that are more physically attractive than me. I think being a guy, my parents expect me to be good at repair work, which I am not. I think that society expects guys to be macho or something, or do well in physically intensive tasks, so I have to do my regular workout.

You should remove guy and girl and exchange it with hetero, also it would be nice if you could add transgender for those people that are transgender.

Basically, I don't let my sexual orientation affect my life that much because I would pretty much be the same person if I was straight. I'm closeted right now so it does affect my life a little, because it's a kept a secret aspect of my life I can't tell people without getting some resentment from other people (especially my parents) but I wouldn't really care about that and I can't really date people. That's about it, it kind of sucks but nothing else would really change, it's just the love life really.

I guess the best category to classify me as would be asexual, or probably just intimate relationship phobic. Doesn't really hinder me in doing things, I just do what I need to either way. If there's a problem with it, it's yours not mine.

Yeah, I think I fall under "asexual" I simply have no intrest in any of it. It doesn't really affect me, but other people get affected.

I am openly bisexual. My parents know that I am bisexual and my friends know that I am bisexual. Some people treat me different for being bi, but it doesn't affect me. Between having a cool electronics job and getting my engineering degree, I couldn't care less about their opinion. I have had relationships on both sides of the fence, I but I haven't had a legitimate relationship in years. I prefer my "friends with benefits" arrangement.

Well I'm straight, but I have many LGBT friends. And they tend to live their lives how they want, without fear or care of their orientation. Boy, the human race sure has come a long way from where it was on sexual orientation 2 decades ago. But there's still a long way to go before there's truly acceptance for all.

I have gay friends, lesbian friends, asexual friends, hell I even know some transsexuals. I wish them good riddance and all happiness in life. Dunno why I shouldn't. People have the right to determine and practice their own sexual orientation, and we have no right to have them refrain from it. I myself am heterosexual.

I'm a straight guy, it hasnt affected my life at all, since its the norm I have no reason to see it as a "problem". I dont care about other people's sexual orientation either, to each their own...

Well, it's something I avoid talking to some people. I would say I'm a bi, but currently I'm having a crush against a girl. I'm not ashamed, but I'm worried about my friends or family leaving me for being like this. I'm not in a really open country. My dad says he doesn't mind it, but I don't know about my mum. You could be compleatly right I am not sure what the exact definition of asexual would be in this case, and yes, that does include love. Though I have been known to be rather imature, especialy for my age, on this subject.

I used to question my sexuality a few years ago, but I was young and naive. I've always had crushes on guys and now I have a bf of two years. So I'm pretty sure I'm straight.

Yes, my experiences with George Clooney were pretty pleasant. They told me he's a very 'retro' man. In that I agree, since he likes it from way 'in the back'. We had a lunch together at Cazzone's restaurant for two weeks straight. They had a nice panoramic view that went great with Perez Hilton's face. When at the spa, the girls used to stuff tofu suppositories in George and I. I found their insertion techniques very relaxing.

It has caused some big problems with my wicked step-mother, which led to a very unhealthy relationship with a guy that turned out to be a stalker, but I try not to dwell on all of that. That has also caused me to somehow go back into the closet (I didn't even think that was possible, but apparently it is.) with that side of my family, which I'm not complaining about. Let them live in blissful ignorance. Makes things easier for me in the meantime. It also does make it a bit awkward when I'm around a bunch of other girls that are straight and they start fangirling over some hot guy and I almost feel obliged to fangirl with them just because I feel really left out, which has actually led to a couple of people asking me if I'm really gay. It also makes it difficult to fangirl myself over hot girls because my friends that are straight guys think it's weird and awkward and my friends that are girls (Any other lesbians I know are online.) don't swing that way. -_-+
