People talking to each other in soliloquy
Fire rising in their eyes like a destiny
Ageless murmurs echo marching infantry
Cast out your wars upon humanity
I waited in the corner, just a ghost
A sentinel in silence guard’s his post
Watching out across all the milling hosts
Of ideas and allies I remember most
madness takes the martyrs of the everyday
skinless eyes swirling, lips move to say
draw your blades and fight the coming gray
split it in twain and then slowly pass away
walking to the tower where my thoughts can hide
what petty shelter can these stone walls provide
that window still shows all the human tides
etched ‘cross the ground like a threat implied
