Yes sir, the Jackson RR3 is badass. The baby Marshall was my first amp that I later just gave to him. The bigger Marshall is a beast.

Don't feel too bad about not knowing theory. Reading music can be a pain. When you're used to using sheet music it gets difficult to play anything by ear.
Also, musical theory can be learnt fairly quickly but playing from ear needs experience.
Experience that I lack.

I was wondering.. when you say musical theory do you mean just reading notes or actual musical theory related to writing music. (the ones, with note value rules, cadences, all those chord things etc etc)

yes i mean the ability to read notes, but also knowing all your scales and being able to improvise. i can write music pretty well, but the process is tedious. i play a note, play another random note, see if i like it, if i don't, play another random note, rinse, repeat. i want to learn theory more for the knowledge of scales than being able to read music. i have no problem reading and writing tablature for the rest of my life, but gods not knowing scales is a big problem in my musical life.

like i said i can learn them in my spare time if i want, but i'd rather learn from a tutor.

It is an old school Silvertone. They were cheap Sears guitars back in the 60s, but they are worth some money now.

my greatest frustration in music is not being able to read notes. also not knowing music theory. coming up with a chord or melodic progression is really hard when you don't know your scales. I usually just play random notes until I like what I hear.

grew up with a stand up piano in the house. when i was older i picked up a guitar. been playing about 14 years. i try to play every day. its very relaxing. kinda like meditation. iv always played by ear. i hear a sound and i can pick it up right away. i like all kinds of music now that im older but i think if you go see a band live and you dont like that kind of music you will start to like it. live music is so much more powerful. you feel it
