Is the pokemon anime garbage

I made a video on the pokemon anime if anyone wants to check it out.

Personally I don't like the anime but what do you guys think?

I would like pokemon if they didn't make Ash constantly fail. Like seriously, they build him up the whole season, getting new pokemon, watching them evolve and get stronger only to fall short at the last stage.

I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a darker tone for Pokémon as well as a new lead protagonist. They can keep the comedy bits, and all that, but give it a more serious vibe, a mc with a little more grit to him, and I think I would probably like the show again.

I enjoyed the series a lot when I was younger, though when I went back to watch it years later it was kind of one note for me. I suppose as a kid, it's pretty fascinating to watch. I mean, the original series was still great, but the recent ones are definitely garbage in my opinion.

Now, it's completely different in regards to the games because I still play/buy those now xD but yeah. The series did get me into playing the games, so I can't rag on it too much.

While the anime, to me, isn't garbage, I will point out that the Pokemon intros get more and more cheesy with each new season.

From all of the different regions, I really only liked Kanto and Hoenn. Everything else was pretty bad and unoriginal.
I wouldn't necessarily say that the anime is garbage though. I'm sure that Team Rocket "blasting off again" almost every episode would still be funny for an elementary school kid. It's directed towards little kids after all. I guess that we just kind of outgrow Pokemon.

Its an endless kids show used to advertise the games so of course he's going to constantly fail.

Gen 1: Overhyped nostalgia and extremely melodramatic. It was okay, but not very special. Most people who say its the best season haven't watched the complete Gen 6 and ignore all the negatives S1 has.
Gen 2: Same.
Gen 3: Bad cast. Brock getting annoying.
Gen 4: Bad.
Gen 5: Bad.
Gen 6: Best Pokemon season. Heaps better than S1.

Season 1 intro dubbed was cheesy af. Have you heard those lyrics?

It's probably no worse than any cartoon series geared towards kids, like Adventure Time, etc., but Pokemon just isn't too sophisticated anime, it's just not really for more sophisticated audiences, but isn't really garbage, it's not too bad, and I always thought that Team Rocket was entertaining, actually, Pokemon anime would be very boring without Team Rocket!
