I have participated in other forums before. First there was the Adult Swim format, but they began effing with everone's postings. It was annoying when you were trying to write fan fic.
Then I went to another site, the name of which I could not remember. There were only a few people posting, but I had some good conversations. Soon I was the only one posting. And it was not like no one was visiting the site. I would get 100 or more reads on my postings and no one replied. No one was posting anything new either. It was me alone! Even the moderators did not post. So I left.
Back to Adult Swim. I tolerated the moderators effing with my posts for a while. Then I started a multi-part fan fic. One of the moderators posted a response saying that he found it funny and entertaining, and he could not wait for more. Then he cut off my access to that one particular thread -- as a joke I guess. Well screw them.
I then went to Anime Nation. Some of the moderators were a bit anal, but most of the other posters were cool to exchange posts with. We actually had a good thing going, but about two weeks ago, the site closed. I did get one message saying it was being redesigned, but I got tired of waiting.
So now I am here. I hope to post some reviews. Get a few favorites lists going. And maybe find the time to do a fan fic -- just as long as no one takes it seriously.
