1: ComicCon, it's kind of a big deal.
2: Look around for comic/trading card stores. They frequently host events of various types where nerds hang out. The one near me in HS had a Animu night (although I never bothered to attend).
3: Google "San Diego Anime Club". You get a couple hits that look active, such as http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Tri-CityAnimeClub/ and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sd-anime/

well comic cons obvious even though i havent gone yet being poor is fun isnt it?...most weekends me n my friends hit up the local comic book stores and anime stores n stuff and never find any females there lol...cept ones already with a guy...

and to 3...how have i never found anything like those....if i get a GF from this i believe i owe you something.
