It's a pretty crappy job. When the printing press is running my main job is to package the finished rolls of packages [heh] and palatalize them to be sold. I also have to keep an eye out for anything wrong with the prints, and take samples for every roll printed. Between printing jobs, we have to change out and clean parts to the machine, as well as grab new inks. It's sweaty, dirty, and you smell of ethanol after you're done, since we use it for a variety of tasks.
Since I'm new, I'm essentially also an errand boy, and a janitor for the machine operator. My operator is a douche nozzle, and as such barks orders whenever he can, loves the sound of his voice too much, and is one of the reasons I'm looking for a new job.
That being said, money is pretty fantastic. However, 7pm-7am shifts, coworkers I can't stand, supervisors looking to cut me, layoffs happening, back breaking work that leaves me smelling of alcohol after I get out, yeah, hoping one of the places I applied to calls back. I even miss retail at this point.
