It shows the culture I'm learning in school 4 my Geography project!!
Nesh (nɛʃ) dialect adj. - sensitive to the cold

''Do your best, no matter how many times you fail!.''
"That was anime I was watching, I thought it was porn"!
"It's not as bad as what it looks mum, honestly!" ^^
Scream "SHORYUKEN" as loud as you can.
Right before punching her in the jaw with an uppercut.
Make sure you twirl around one full rotation after making contact with her jaw, otherwise it won't work.
If you did it right, she'll never question you or your hobbies again.
it just won't work now.it's already our summer vacation
i'll be trying it next time when i already have nothing to answer mom...

funny line, stan
My dad is like that, my mom on the other hand have no idea what anime is. When my dad barks at me for watching anime, I usually counter that he use to watch Tom & Jerry. Plus, I pretty much gave up my childhood to take care of my youngest brother and half of my teenage years for my little sister, so I tell him I've given up half my life for him and my mom so things could function correctly in the household (I'd usually tell him that in a monotone voice, which irks him lol). But at least your mom worries about you, there are few who wish for that so don't take it all for granted.

It's better to out right ask her to sit down with you and watch an episode or two and than ask her if she took notice in your faciel expression (if you show some) while watching. That is the best advice I can come up with for you.

In that case.
Challange her to a duel.
Remember your face damn trap cards. They can save your life points when things get too hairy.
Or if you lose, there IS always the mindcrush.
You can also pay one of the neigborhood children to stand outside of your bedroom door and deny access to anyone who wishes to enter during anime time.
If all else fails, blow it all up.
I don't know why some parents have a problem with anime unless, like others have said, it's something you do instead of helping around the house and it takes up all your time. As long as your chores and homework are done, it should be fine.
I think many of us have grown up watching animated Disney movies. I don't know many parents who would order someone to stop watching The Little Mermaid or Toy Story. lol Anime is just like other forms of entertainment. I'd guess your mother watches movies or tv shows? It's the same idea, but animated. There's a lot more you can do with animation that is hard or extremely costly to try to replicate with real actors and props, even using special effects. You can mention anime is different than other cartoons because the storylines have more depth. In some anime, the artwork is just gorgeous. Someone else mentioned that you can learn about international culture. This is true, too. It's not just Japan, either. You can find anime set in different countries. It can also be educational. There are anime about historical events. True, some of them aren't the most accurate, but some are.
On the question of "obedience", there are some anime that are set in girls' schools where they're taught manners and how to act properly. Usually they're trying to be princesses or something. There's probably something similar for boys being princes, too. Maybe find one, tell her she's right, and you'd like to learn how to be more ladylike and respectful or whatever it is she wants. lol
It would be best to have a talk with her, though. Do some research first, to show her you're serious about this. I'm sure there's a lot about anime that she doesn't know, so teach her. Maybe find a nice movie now and then and ask her to watch it with you. Keep up with chores, homework, and show her this isn't something that's going away, but you're being responsible about it and you'd like to share it with her now and then and who knows? If she hasn't changed her mind even a little, you'll know at least you did your best.
My mom refers it as cartoon so I always corrected it Anime
Here's my answer
My mom use to tell me that I would have less friends if I watched it since it was from another country. I really had no other responce then this
I am sure I have many friends and that is being silly.

haha, you make me laugh with your advices.
you don't seem to take things seriously and i find it cute and funny

if watching anime is your hobby and what you like to do on your free time. Then it should be done.
Without questioning why, parents should just let their child be.
Because that shows they're simply not letting them grow as they please.
I mean sure, you can help point them into another direction, but it's not like you're into drugs or getting into trouble.
Some people likes drama, films, movies, plays, games, etc etc.
Ask her what's her hobby and see if she'd stop, otherwise just ignore.
me: okay, ill stop watching anime..
( then ill fill my cab wit lotsa mag, manga)
alternative fo' watchin ayt ...xd
haha yup short and to the point. that's what i did when i was a kid and my mom would constantly nag at me to stop watching dragon ball z, inuyasha and such. eventually she gave up when i turned 12 or 13. now that im 21 she can't believe i still watch this stuff lol
Under construction.
