I can't talk for everyone else, but I personally have lost all interest in the Pokemon anime series. The series is made really badly nowadays and doesn't match up to other anime currently out and honestly it probably never will.

It's too repetitive for me. DIGIMON "the rip-off" won out in the end because it actually comes up with original ideas.

Both of them are fairly weak when matched up to other anime out there, but Digimon at least is still bearable at times. Pokemon was never the best anime out there, but before was at least considered a good anime.

Nowadays Pokemon is probably one of the worst lingering anime series out there.

I can't agree with that, but I also won't bash you for your opinion on Digimon. Digimon isn't horrible, but when you compare it to so many other titles it just isn't made as well as those. That may come off as a hugely biased opinion, but it isn't. Compare Digimon to anime like Bakemonogatari and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Can you really say without being biased that Digimon is as good as those? I'd say Digimon in a whole is about a 7.6, which is still fairly decent.

Though, Pokemon is about a 6.5- nowadays.

I grew up also watching Digimon and Pokemon. I have to say Pokemon changed a lot over the years and sorta got boring to me to watch. It just keeps lingering on and I think maybe it should stop. No offence but I don't hear a lot of people who are fans who watch it and not complain. I will still like it since it was a big part of my life growing up as a kid. But now maybe should lay to rest. Digimon I liked in some ways but not as season 2 and there for went on with the series just got dull to me. Forever be a part of me these shows but time for new stuff. In my opinion.

Yeah, exactly. Anime like One Piece which are considered great anime can linger on, but some anime just don't have quality factor to linger on as much as others. Pokemon and Digimon are both examples of that, but Pokemon is a far greater example. The series was once 7.9 - 8.0 worthy, but like I said before it is about 6.5- level now. I see why it is still going on, but it is extremely sad to see it a series I once really enjoyed sink this low.

I agree as well about Pokemon. I really wonder when they plan to make Ash this "pokemon master" that he is to maybe become one day. The series, to me, was leading up to that before they started adding different generations to the series, ruining the anime.

There is a good chance the series will end without Ash becoming a Pokemon master. The only reason I say that is because I doubt him becoming a master of Pokemon is ever really on the minds of the creators. Once the series is over for them, it may just end on a random episode.
