hmm, i can't currently think of an individual character that i hate, but the type of characters i usually hate are female characters that exist for the sole purpose of providing panty shots and don't have much personality to them beyond things that appeal only to sad lonely men. it's for this reason that i usually avoid harem anime altogether.

But no, I dislike a few characters. Like Itachi from Naruto, along with Madara too. I dislike any anime character that does things for completely unreasonable explanations, unless their character was meant to be psychotic, which in that case needs to be made more obvious.

I hate Itachi because I believe he could have come up with many, many better and different ways to do what he did and the goals he was setting out for Sasuke and others. The way he went about it was absurd in my opinion.

Madara I dislike because even though he was very clever in the way he went about things, I was all for rooting for the good side so xD I dislike the villains.

Also Orochimaru, because he's just plain creepy.

I don't remember the specific characters, but I got a few types of characters which I really hate:

Male protagonist in harem shows who is very dense and don't know that he was very popular with girls
Male protagonist who always hesitate and afraid to take action, in other words a wuss, and always talk about "unable to protect anyone"

There is not a particular character that I have grievance with, but I absolutely despise protagonists that exist solely for losers to identify with. Characters that spring to mind are: the dude from Steins Gate, Kyon, all harem protagonists, hachiman from oregairu, and a few others. I simply hate being pandered to, and if I want to see a social reject f*ckup then I´d look in the mirror.
I also get extremely pissed of by `genki` type girls- like please, someone erase that archetype from the collective memory so those girls wont ever appear in anime again.

I'd say tsunderes in general. To me they're just too bitchy and violent to be seen as cute. Like what sane guy could fall for someone who constantly belittles and hurts them. Unless you're a masochist that stuff isn't endearing in the least. Examples such as Taiga (Toradora) and Tornado (One Punch Man).

You mean Daru, don't you? I liked Steins;Gate and most of the characters. The one exception is Daru. He was a stereotype, not a character.

But what if they do actually add something to the plot base. I just finished Kuromukuro, and there was a character like that. Ryouto had a crush on Yukina, despite her growing relationship with Kennosuke. But in the end, he did step in to back them both up to keep them together. For most of the series, Ryouto was more like a warrior wannabe, but his determination rounded out the determination of the main characters.

Now if the character gave nothing to the plot, or even gave comedy relief, then I would agree.

To this day I still find no one else any more annoying and repulsive as Mr. Satan from DBZ.

The fact that every being's life on Earth was in danger of ending at the hands of Cell, the one person that brought attention to Cell's arrival is nearly killed, people sacrificed their lives and died, and the real hero, an 11yr old boy that realized his inner power saved everyone, and this guy took credit for all of it... on top of calling all the Z-warriors and Cell fakes, AND while all this was going on he cowards in the corner with a so-called stomach ache; the man deserves to be a casualty more than comic relief.

Seriously, out of all the anime I've watched, I still can't find someone that I can hate more than him. Villains are villains so I expect any level of cruelty.
