Anime/Manga Review:Remodel?

Has anyone else noticed lately how inactive the anime/manga review section has become? It has gone months without a post, and that makes me wonder if users can even write reviews anymore? Can anyone accept the review to go through, or only the moderator of the section? If that's the case, then is it possible we need someone to fill in those shoes and moderate the section? You know.. update the rules and maybe post reviews of their own? In all honesty, I think the section needs to be remodled, and spiced up a bit.. You know, posdibly contests or such? Anything. The section just seems completely dead.

How we go about this? I know I'm not a moderator, so I am in no position to actually suggest some of this, but I just think the section could use more dedication. How so? We need more reviews! The section used to be great, what happened?

Who should mod this section you ask? Anyone to be honest.. well any current staff member who would want to, lol. Heck. I'd even mod it! Though my point is, I think it needs someone with some experience. Maybe Eris, maybe Iamb, maybe O.Cloud. Honestly anyone, just so the section can be revived.

Why I want it revived? I have reviews I want to post, and I'm sure if we get attention towards the section more will post reviews again. Plus I think the review system should be altered anyways.

Message clear? I typed this all on my 3ds and it took 30 minutes, so some errors may of happened. Lol.

So, is there a way we can still post reviews? Does the section need more attention? I just want it back up and running. The section deserves more in my opinion.

I've typed up a few reviews and they never went through.

Here's a thread with the same question pretty much where I said basically the same thing. Something needs to be done. Flash can't do this AND signatures/wallpapers etc. at the same time..

Ah well basically, we do need to re-work it. But it needs a bit more then that. Basically I'd want the full reviews posted at animeglobe, in more of an article format, with images, and then a post made in the review forum, linking to the globe article. While anyone can submit the reviews, there would need to be a staff member to approve them, and make the corresponding post, and you are quite right, that can't be Flash, due to the amount of things he's currently doing.

Hmm. Do you think any of the current mods would do that? Cause that'd be awesome to post up more reviews! I have a Fooly Cooly/Bleach/Durarara review waiting. I'm not asking for moderator, just saying I'd gladly do the job if you ever can't find anyone else, cause I used to post reviews on another anime site. Though who mods it isn't as important. What's important is that it does get moderated swiftly, and right, cause posting reviews is rather fun and also could really be beneficial to AF.

As I said on a previous post, contests could easily be brought into the review section. I have a DS Lite I don't want, so that could even be a prize. Not to shabby, ey?

Heh yes, I do agree on those counts, and contests are a good idea as well.

Yeah, it depends on what the contests would be about though. By the way, I sent you the article last night. It took about a hour and I did what I could at that time of night.
