    Default "Second" watch disaster?

The second chance anime thread is a good topic, but it got me thinking: The opposite has also been true, for me at least.

Has there ever been an anime you watched, even more than once, loved it, and years later go to watch it again, and not see why you liked it in the first place? Here are some with me:

    Bamboo Blade
This is a sports anime (Which I usually love, even though I don't like sports.) about a Kendo club. I remember thinking when I watched it the first time in 2008 that I thought it was hilarious, but a year or two ago I started to re-watch it and... just thought it was boring.

    Kenichi: The Mightest Disciple
This anime was about a weakling who go bullied learning martial arts. I remember loving this, and watched it 3-4 times in the late 00's. I wasn't a fan of the fan-service, but I overlooked it because of how funny I found the show. This time though, I noticed. I finished it, but I still didn't really enjoy it this time.

    D N Angel
I remember the first time I watched it I thought it was a very interesting story. But the second time through, I found it boring.

I'm sure there are others. Has that happened to you?

I'm sure there are some, but I really can't think of one at the moment.

Good reverse topic from the one I started. But I have to search my memory a bit on this one.

Jackie Coogan, Charlie Chaplin, and Charles Reisner as the Bully.

Reisner was a former pro boxer who turned actor, writer, and director. He previously worked for Chaplin behind the camera on The Gold Rush. Reisner would later become known as a comedy director working with The Marx Brothers, Jack Benny, and Abbot and Costello, among others.
