Live Action movies/TV series based on anime

Okay, i picked up Kite (with Samuel Jackson) the other day. I've got the live action Sonic, Ghost in the Shell, Battle Angel, Blood, the Matrix, Deathnote, DOA, Mortal Kombat...

So what live action movies based on anime do you know? TV series?

There are two live action films based on Death Note. If you have seen the anime, don't worry. They change the narrative somewhat. There is also a third film which shows L's last case.



I don't believe Boogiepop and Others was based on the anime Boggiepop Phantom, but it was based on the same set of novels. Sorry, but this is the only clip I could find from the live action movie:



There is an anime Boogiepop and Others, but I have not seen that one.

Actually I believe there were 3 deathnote movies before and Netflix just released a new one in 2017

^ There were three Japanese films based on Death Note. The first two retold the anime series story, though with some very significant changes. The third has nothing to do with the series, but was made because the live action L was so popular. Netflix once had the three DVD's, but I don't know if they still do.

The Netflix Streaming version looks like an American made remake.

The main problem with live Action is the way they screw it up. Dragonball, Jem and the Holograms, Blade (MArvel vampires aren't virus based, you bastards, they're magical undead!) If you can't do it right it shouldn't be done at all. I'm looking at you Disney

Battle ngel and Ghost in the Shell were pretty good.

^ Don't look at Disney. You want trouble? Their lawyers are worse than demons, vampires, or your typical psycho killer all rolled into one. They actually took a church to court for using Mickey Mouse in their ads for the Sunday school car wash.

I'm just saying Disney should focus on new stuff rather than rehashing their old animated movies and making them live action... especially since talking animals need to be CGI anyway.

Ultimately though a lot of these live action anime things are being edited or otherwise screwed up. Remember what Sonic was GOING to look like?



Cowboy bebop was cancelled after a month



Then I was thinking of Blade. Which should have NOTHING to do with any kind of virus since in Marvel the vampires are undead.

Hopefully Morbius will do better...

Don't usually watch live action movies of anime. Did see one of a manga I read awhile back that wasn't too bad. Dunno if it has an anime, I doubt it though.
