@Hollow Ichigo : First, I’m honored to be considered, good sir. I would gladly accept, but I fear that wouldn’t be true to Jasper’s character, unfortunately. Jasper has “a strong distaste for pirates,” and though some explaining/retro editing could be done to reveal why he’s on your character’s ship, I think it’s more plausible if he starts out not being a part of a crew.

But don’t despair! If, in the RPG, you find a way to convince Jasper to join your crew, he just might do it. I’ll leave your methods up to you (and if you choose to do that I’m sure the result will be interesting), but again I certainly appreciate the invitation.

Sorry guys! I know I said that I wanted to start the RP by the end of last week, but we stayed in Panama longer than expected (not that I'm complaining) and I was visiting an art school in Orlando that I'm set on going to now.

Name: Rufus Haverbend

Appearance: Rufus He wears the typical loose white shirt with black pants tucked into black cuffed boots. Over his shirt, he wears a black fitting overcoat under a red sash and black belt. Around his neck is a small golden clam shell on a thin gold chain. Stands at about 5'3". Very hard toned. Skin is sun-kissed but its natural color is that of the picture.

Weapon(s): A sling shot with a pouch of a variety of benevolent to deadly little objects to shoot. A seemingly simple cutlass; the handle is carved from gold and there are tiny silver seashells of all sorts that circle the hilt. A carving knife.

Special Talents/Abilities: He has perfect aim; never misses his target. Expert swordsman. Fast on his feet and packs a powerful punch. Give him a knife and a piece of wood, he can carve you a masterpiece.

Ship: None at the moment

Position: Gunner and Cooper for higher

Personality: Mysterious character. He seems to always be glaring, but maybe that's just the way he always looks. He's not adverse to using his looks to get what he wants but it's the last tactic he resorts to, most definitely. He seems like the quiet type, always deep in thought or perhaps scheming something. He doesn't like to use pirate slang although he is one. Passive-aggressive. When he snaps, it's best to clear the room; he gets this crazy look in his eye that warns you that he will not hesitate to slice your throat if you make one wrong move. This applies greatly to when he's harassed about his pretty face. If it's playful banter, he doesn't mind so much, but he does not enjoy being teased in the least. Seems to get depressed from time to time. Rarely smiles, but no one knows why.

History: Not much is known about Rufus except that he's from Valera. A few years before the Dead Eye rumors arose, he was making a living by working as a mercenary. It was easy for him because he was usually highly underestimated due to his height and girlish face. He's even killed for some government officials. Sometimes he had to resort to seducing his target, whom were usually always male. He was never adverse to killing women. He didn't believe in women being treated differently. Perhaps it was due to spite from frequently being mistaken for one, or maybe it was due to growing up in Valera, where nearly all of the women were unnaturally gorgeous but more than half were disgustingly vain.

Either way, he didn't see women as a separate case from men. His hand only stilled when it came to children. He once killed an official who wanted to kill a child who would soon take the throne as emperor of Erabyss. He didn't get paid, but the satisfaction was enough and he ended up stealing from the man in the end.

Rufus, who obviously didn't care for gender, once had a lover. His lover was a man named Hitoshi, who once served alongside him on a pirate ship. He's long dead now and is remembered by no one but Rufus himself. Since then he's lain with both men and women alike but none could ever capture his heart as Hitoshi did.

Special Talents/Abilities: Ability to shape-shift; wonderful actress

Personality: Very timid. She listens to Hades out of fear not respect. She'll trick, deceive, lay with, kill, etc. anyone if Hades tells her to. She may act well but she's a coward at heart.

History: Nemo was a mermaid who was taken in by Hades at a very young age. He never showed her love, but be made her amphibious to use her for his own gain whether it be to cause Havoc in Mundus or to use her for his pleasure. She was actually the one to start the rumor about Dead Eye. She was in the shape of a simple male commoner.

Nemo wants nothing more than to be free of his grasp. She hasn't killed herself because he has promised her freedom after one century of service. Mermaids lived for nearly a thousand years, so she can only pray that he'll keep to his word.

Appearance: Stands at 5'9", Xanthos has incredibly tan skin with long, curly brown hair and brown eyes. He wears a green, sleeveless tunic, loose fitting cotton pants, and no shoes. He is an incredibly handsome young man, though he isn't very lucky with the ladies. Xanthos is obsessed with dental care, so his teeth are sparkling white. It isn't unusual to see Xanthos with a black eye or large bruise somewhere visible because of his constant fight-picking. He's somehow managed to avoid any scars.

Weapon(s): Three swords. Two scimitars swords sit, crossed in an X on his back. A short sword sits on the small of his back.

Special Talents/Abilities: Sword fighting, picking fights/pushing buttons, reading maps, plotting courses, cooking, pick-pocketing, stealthy!

Ship: The Blackwinged Angel

Position: Deck hand/cook/map reader (though he's called a "map-diviner")

Personality: He's a bit of a loose cannon, and enjoys a good fight at least once a day. He's a good kid to have your side when you're in a tough spot or need a good fighter. He's a loud mouth who's good at pushing people's buttons. Despite his fondness for picking fights, Xanthos is still a fairly likeable kid. His behavior can be chalked up to his street-life-youth and lack of parents.

History: Xanthos was abandoned by his parents on Dydogan Islands as a young child for unknown reasons. One morning he got up, found his home empty, and his parents never returned. Around five, he started his life as a street urchin and pick-pocket, and found that he hand a knack for it. To this day, he's never been thrown in jail for stealing. He's spent the night in jail for starting fights with drunks at the local pubs, but the local law enforcement tend to ignore his activities, often rolling their eyes at him.

He never had any formal schooling, but he taught himself how to read and write around eight or nine. During the same time, he took up training swordsmanship with a local master named Zeno. He lived in the local library some days, reading. It was also during this time that Xanthos realizes he had an affinity for reading maps and plotting courses. He liked to sit at the table for hours, just figuring out which plot would be easiest vs. the longest. At twelve, he struck up a small business offering advice to ship captains about the routes they should take based on length, ease, and weather.

Two years ago, Xanthos joined up with Noir's pirate crew. He'd read of Captain Noir in books, and when the infamous pirate captain docked at Dydogan Islands, on Xanthos' home island no less, the fourteen year old sought him out. He'd always wanted to become a pirate, but he didn't want to be part of just any pirate crew. He only wanted to be part of The Blackwinged Angel. At first, Noir denied his request, almost laughing off the kid. But Xanthos stood his ground and listed off his abilities. The captain was intrigued by the youth's persitence, so he asked his name. When Xanthos told him, Noir about fell out of his seat. Rumors of Xanthos - the professional, kid map-diviner - had circulated amongst the pirates, but until then, Noir had just thought them rumors. After a few minor questions, Noir decided to take Xanthos aboard.

Over the two years he's been aboard Noir's ship, Xanthos has learned to restrain himself from starting fights with his crewmates. The first six months he was aboard, Noir punished Xanthos' behavior with sparring matches, in which he would beat the crude out of the kid. Though damned good with a sword, Xanthos has never been good at hand-to-hand combat, though he's been improving slowly.

@pleasant_disorder Yea, thats fine. Its sounds like him, And I like the sound of this kid. Noir might challenge him to a fight herre and there for fun btw. Seeing as Haley would Trounce him, he'd need someone with good skill to fight.

Personality: A cheerful, INcredibly Mature person, who speaks as though he is much older. Agile, Likeable enough but rather abrasive at points. Doesnt drink often, despite his near enough immunity to getting hammered. He follows orders to the best of his abiltys.
History: Ryko was born into chaos- as are alot of people. His parents were slaughtered before he was even properly separated from his mother, and he only survived due to the complete negligence of the killers- they failed to notice the baby in the dark of the night. He survived the nigh and come morning he was found, and taken into care. he was a rather violent child, beating many a fellow Orphan up, though oddly the only people he really hurt were bullies themselves, often defending weaker orphans.

When he was old enough to leave the orphanage, he signed up to the local law enforcment, and hunted down the gang that killed his impairment. He beat them down too, and would have killed them if not for his senior officers intervention. Sensing Ryko's anquish, he began to mentor him in a specialist fightingstyle which involved the use of hundreds of Daggers and swords, sacrificing weapons as you go. Ryko learned quickly, amstering it in a year and a half, and entered an underworld fighting tournament, coming out on top and earning himself his Title, ''The Hydra''. However, He voluntarily resigned, and joined a privateer ship where he would be able to focus his violence on deserving victims. However, he was captured and used as a slve by a pirate captain.

Leading a revolt, Ryko slew the captain in single combat. He lead the crew to shore, barely making it to Shore. Now he finds himself in a pirate haven, and looking for work- respectable or otherwise.

Not quite as short as the image shows, he is in fact about 6'6". Hammer does however have a healthy weight to him. Sorry...I mean he is huge. It is a mix of muscle gained from his profession and fat from his lifestyle. His beard is dark and far less controlled. His eyes continue this theme, being a dark brown themselves.
His clothes are made from tough and durable material and are in fact handmade, since his size it not exactly common. He hold great pride in them.

Personality:
Hammer is the kind of person you can't put down. No matter what event has came his way he bounces right back into the flow. A bright person, despite his problems with alcohol, he puts 110% percent into all his does.
Never quiet. Never!
To sum up at lot in his own words,
"Why live for tomorrow? It never arrives. Live for today. It is endless."
Despite what some people think he is still a good person. He would never act with violence unless it was needed. He treats everyone the same, even if that is the captain or a begger. But does have a tendency to forget himself.

History:
The start. Let's begin there. Harry wasn't exactly the brute he is now. In fact he was a major of a small island. There wasn't much on the island besides a town, which was a port, and a mix of farms. Harry had a comfortable life on the island. He wasn't married but was not bothered by it. Security was provided by Erabyss. Since the islands were sheltered by it. Trade was rich. So money wasn't a big thing for him. Weather was fine too. All in all it was perfect.

Which meant it was boring.

Harry was about 25 when he decided to leave. Feeling restless he left his post to a more capable hand and took of on a local merchant ship to see more of the world. What he clashed with was far from what he thought would exist. Thieves, Pirates and Storms. The whim of the Gods was fickle. It was far from the peaceful land he had left. But it was perfect. The money he took began to dwindle away, lost to different things. So Harry took up carpentry. Why not? It was far more involving then writing pointless letters. So that is how he came about his profession. It is also where his nickname first appeared. No one could be bothered to remember his full title.

As for becoming a Pirate. That was a bit darker. In his travels Harry had made a couple of bad choices. Though he won't admit it, he fell into a bad crowd. With it came his addiction. Drink. Not uncommon in this age, it really changed him. With it life just seemed more and more interesting. While drunk even thing once boring became fascinating. But with it came debt. Debt that he struggled with. And of course that meant he would turn to the drink more. A horrid cycle.

But this was Hammer. With a roar (and a few broken bones) he managed to get enough money to pay of a lot of his debt. Still owing one or two people he makes his money now through pirating. He doesn't remember the night he made that choice. But who cares? Hammer would only look forwards. He wasn't immortal he couldn't waste time. His current Captain took him on through recommendation and thought he had taken a bit to get use to he is a good person and skill at what he does. And if you keep a drink in his hand he is more then happy to do any job.

Special Talents/Abilities:
Body Snatcher - Thanatos has no true form and steals the bodies of anything that has eyes. Alive, undead or inhuman. By gazing into anothers' eyes he enters their body and takes control. Once within their body he gains all memories and knowledge they possess, as well as full access to any skills they have. No matter the form he has he may speak to anyone through their minds. It does have restrictions:
1. He can never control a God, nor those given a Gods direct blessing.
2. Because Humans have been gifted with Free Will he can only steal the body of a human who gives him permission.
3. If his hosts dies he is forced into the nearest body that does not break any of the above rules.
4. He must reveal his true eyes to perform the theft. His true eyes are a sick yellow with pupils shaped as jagged spirals. They are the closest none Gods get to his true form.
5. He must hold the gaze for at least 5 seconds.
6. If he leaves a host, not because of their death, they will have no memory of any actions performed while he was in control. Other then that they are perfectly fine.
(Note: If a human has given him permission once he does not need it again if he wants to re-possess them. You have been warned.)

Personality:
Twisted. Twisted and wrong. And mad. Mad from an eternity of existance. His personality can no longer be pinned down. One moment he will think things through, the next he will butcher those in the way. To plot his path is to be entangled in it's webs.
He doesn't care about any that isn't his master. Which means everyone but Hades. Imagine the worse and he will have performed it.
He is at conflict with even himself. But no matter what the calling he will perform.
What more can be said about the mind of a entity created from Nightmares of Gods?

History:
A creation from some of the first days of Hades existance, Thanatos was made to be Hades's messager and his puppet controller. There were no restrictions on where he could go and little he could not possess to do so. He was perfect. Hades was not a fool though and in his creation laid down important rules. The end result was something only the Gods could truly understand and see, and they were repulsed and impressed in equal measure.

To Hades he is a perfect tool. Loyal beyond reason, with technical immortality and little restrictions; Thanatos was as he was made to be. Hades' eye on the human realm. If one looks close enough he has been there at all moments of great historic importance. Those times a Commander acts out of character and send his men to die. When a King becomes cold and leads his nation in cruelty. Or even when a lover turns their back on those they once cared for. Some of those moments can be attributed to him. All leading to something in Hades advantage. However he has not always been successful. For all Gods play these games and play them well. But he has had a presence.
Now he is sent out again. A sign that something is to begin.

Although, as the rp progresses, I'll probably have him get better with hand-to-hand combat, so he might give Noir a run for his money in the future

Name: Akantha the Rose Thorned Pirate

Origin: Greece

Appearance: Standing at 6' 2", the tan Akantha towers over most of her crewmates. She has thick, curly, blond hair cut into an afro and sparkling green-flecked, blue eyes that match the color of the ocean. She dawns a white doctor's jacket that goes down to her knees, and underneath her jacket she wears a black tube top, black mini-skirt, and thigh high, black leather boots. There is always a stethoscope hanging around her neck.

Weapon(s): Acupuncture needles and throwing knives

Special Talents/Abilities: knife throwing, seduction, medical-related problems

Ship: Star Wind (as long as @Hollow Ichigo is ok with it)

Position: Doctor

Personality: Akantha is a drunk and loves her rum as well as a good, stout ale. Drinking does not appear to affect her ability to work or reason. In fact, she works better under the influence and remains sharp as a tack. As with most drunks, she's a loud mouth and often says things most people wouldn't, which can get her in trouble sometimes. She's called Akantha the Rose Thorned Pirate for two reasons. Her name is Greek for "thorn" and she's incredibly beautiful, but also because although she is incredibly beautiful, she will not hesitate to throw a knife at someone pushing her buttons, though normally this only happens when she's sober.

There is a second side to her that most people never want to see: her sober side. When sober, Akantha is incredibly hard to get along with. She's moody, blubbering one moment, then biting your head off the next for absolutely nothing. During these times of sobriety, Akantha refuses to see anyone because, according to her, "I'll kill them."

History: As a Greecian, Akantha learned the ways of medicine through her father, a well respected Greek doctor Jason the God Healer. Her mother died in childbirth, and when Akantha was thirteen her father remarried to a woman that Akantha despised. Once their marriage was finalized, her step-mother had Jason agree to marry off his daughter to the highly respected political figure, Leander. Akantha agreed to the marriage and went to live with the Leander for a period of time.

After four years of marriage and no children, Leander threw her out on the streets, claiming that Akantha's barren womb was attributed to adultery. Leander had no evidence, but people believed him because he was their political leader. During this time in her life, Akantha took up drinking and found her life to be much more pleasant under the influence. To make money for her habit, she took up suturing and caring for wounded outlaws and pirates.

At a local bar, Akantha was approached by the Christopher, the captain of the Star Wind. He was peaceable, almost humble, when he requested Akantha to come aboard his ship. They worked out an agreement. Akantha was to receive a stipend of 50 silver pieces a month and an unlimited amount of alcohol. As long as Christopher kept up his end of the bargain, she would stay aboard the ship and work on any wounded that he sent to her; however, she was not to be involved in what she termed "the petty quarrels of you pirates". She has been aboard Christopher's ship for almost a full year now.

Personality: Godric is very out spoken. He says what is on his mind if it be good or bad. and at times he can be very quite.
History: Godric was born in Bellumuna with a fairly renown warrior family. Godric learned to sword fight when he turned six. when ever he would go to be he would hear story's of pirates on the sea, collecting gold becoming famous and feared. As Godric grew older he wanted to become a pirate more and more. when he finally felt like he was ready to leave at the age of twenty two. he started out searching for a ship to join.
