As such, I torrent my anime (sometime DDL) and buy what I feel like.
I also watch all my anime online, it's been like this for the passed 4 or 5 years. When I was younger, I used to watch it on television but I don't have YTV anymore.
Torrents, and DVD collections of what is licensed and what I can afford. Anime is impossible to find on TV on local cable here since that Canadian content limit thing they buckled down on a few years ago. Such a shame.

If I want to watch a anime I almost always watch it on the computer. The only bad thing is that watching directly on a streaming site is fine, but I don't like all the commercials that usually plays in the beginning. If you are watching several episodes in a row, or just want to look a little bit on a certain episode, than all those same commercials gets really annoying. I understand that those commercial must be played as long as I want to be able to see those animes online but.... still.... very annoying for me as a person.
Anyway. Like many already have said getting your hands on animes are hard if you don't live in a place where they are very common. I live in Sweden and getting your hands on animes on a dvd requires often that you need to order them from another country. That just takes to much time. So watching them directly on a internet page is a much better options for me.

And this is how I enjoy those animes that are played on my computer:

Just look at this amazingly paint skill!
Mostly I watch anime by looking at it from the computer. I sit on thte floor between my table and my sofa (like Im doing at this very moment), resting my chin on my hand which is on the table while looking at an anime on the computer. It's really comfortable! I don't know why, but I have always enjoyed sitting on the floor. Maybe I am a little weird when it comes to this but I actually think it's often more comfortable then sitting on a sofa. When I am together with my family and... oh I don't know, for example..., watching a movie on the television then they are all sitting in our sofas and I am laying on the floor resting my head on one of the foot "chairs". I have been this way since I was a kid. Im stuck in this "bad" habit of mine. ^^

I stream anime. Always have since last year. I don't mind ads. They usually go away with an ad-blocker
I usually watch anime on DVDs whenever I get the time and money. If the DVD doesn't work (it's broken or the DVD player can't read it) I watch the anime online. I do watch some animes online with or without DVDs such as Naruto, and weekly too. It's hard to catch up. >_<'

I watch anime online.
Most anime aren't really of high enough quality to make watching them in 720p a greater experience; 480p is fine. The animation of One Piece, Naruto, Fairy Tail, and Bleach are equally shoddy no matter what the resolution, and the excess of school-fantasy and moe shows are incapable of making better use of increased resolution. I just don't get the notion that anime can't be enjoyed unless it's in as high a resolution as possible - I'm pretty sure we were all content with with 480p up until 2006 or so when most shows also began broadcasting in 720p. If you can clearly see what's on the screen, that's good enough.
There are some shows that you can justify requiring 720p - those with heavy CG (Tiger&Bunny) or very high quality animation (Kara no Kyoukai, Gundam Unicorn), or animation with special art effects (Gurren Lagann's action sequences, Panty & Stocking) or careful gradients and landscapes (5cm/s, Katanagatari) become an import part of the art direction.
"The color fades along the intervals I follow."
The second counter-argument makes no sense. The argument is not that the resolution isn't inferior, but that the quality of the animation is not of high enough quality that switching from 480p to 720p is going to make any difference. You can look at a 2MP picture of a stick figure and a 10MP picture of the same stick figure, and it's still going to be a crappy stick figure. You can watch Naruto in 1080p, and the animation will look just as mediocre as it does in 480p.
If the only difference between the animation of a 480p series and 720p series is that one is simply larger, there's no point in the 720p. The advantage of HD resolutions is that greater levels of detail can be clearly represented on the screen, and if a series isn't animated with that level of detail in the first place, then the advantage is lost. If a series is animated with a high framerate, and the artwork is high in detail, then 720p is justified in order to clearly see it, as it likely won't carry down to 480p without blurring away.
Anyway, for that second counterargument itself, "I don't care" is valid. They're not saying "I don't see the difference" or "there is no difference", they are saying they simply don't care about whatever difference there may be. To that person, they are just as entertained by a series when watching it in 480p as in 720p. If you'll enjoy it to the same extent in either way, the viewing method chosen isn't going to matter.

I always download on 720p/1080p when I can, and when it's available on DVD/Blu-ray, I'll buy them.
Download when I can and DVD/Blu-Ray.
Like a baws. DVDS and sometimes online.
In torrents, as usual and sometimes in tv when there are too many episodes to download.. haha! :P
