This accounts for everything with CC info such as Netflix, right?
I'm just clarifying because I'm unsure.
Derp.
PSN and Netflix are two different things. Like you can have netflix but not even own a PS3.. It just took your PSN data. Not every data stored on each individual ps3.
And actually if you want you can turn on your ps3 and watch netflix now seeing how it's totally unrelated. You may have to fight with the psn log-in screen. But after clicking back once the video selection appears in the BG you can continue watching things. I've watched a few things from time to time to keep my dear ol' playstation in shape during his vacation from playing videogames.. lulz xD

If you looked on the EU playstation forums there've been people who have renewed PS+ and still lost access to the free games they've downloaded and the response is always to re-download the material.
Also news on the grapevine is that the JP PSN is already back online (US and EU servers will most likely come back on over the next two days).
That's not entirely true since lovefilm (the UK version of netflix) reported that those using the video streaming service on the PS3 couldn't gain access after the PSN was shut down.

Because maybe the uk version sucks??? Because I can definitly watch Netflix on my PS3. Lovefilm does not equal Netflix. they are similiar but are NOT the same company so don't group them together because of similar features. Netflix and Sony are also not the same company so no your data was not accessed. Only data relating to PSN.

To support my littlle bluu's argument, the browser has been reported to work as well.
Seems that the PSN isn't the only casualty for Sony anymore. Their PC servers have been brought down for games like Ever Quest II.
But what they do is exactly the same (a subscription service for streaming films and such) which is why I said they were doing the same this not that they were the same company (heck lovefilm is owned by amazon which would figure about the problems).
Yep they've found out that the SOE userbase was also compromised alongside the PSN userbase (well the SOE head office is in the same place that the PSN data centre is).
No you said that me stating that PSN and Netflix are totally unrelated to each other and that I can watch Netflix on my ps3 right this instance you brought in some foreign thing that is the substitute for Netflix which apparently doesn't work and said that whatever I said was not true. When it was and I said that Netflix was not the same as whatever you said. They have the same features but they are totally different.
I just pointed out that the only thing affected by this whole thing is pretty much anything affiliated with PSN/Sony. Companies such as Netflix etc who are contracted under them but to not share the same information is fine. As to why that English Netflix substitute doesn't work is their own problem not PSN's. Unless you use your PSN information for it in which for netflix you don't.

Nintendo is trolling, lol!
Nintendo - our customers' online security and information is safe
“The security of and confidentiality of our customers’ information is extremely important to us. That’s why we have many technical, administrative and physical security measures in place to protect personal information from unauthorised access and improper use. We also review our security procedures periodically to consider appropriate technology and updated methods, and test our systems.” - Nintendo statement

After hearing the latest news about the hacking I'm guessing either of these theories is true....
1. Anonymous teamed up with another more expert hacking group to do a two pronged attack with anon doing distraction with a DDoS attack on sony's servers (since the latest reports are that the people at sony were distracted with a DDoS attack at the same time the hack into their user base) whilst the other group went in with a hacking attack and got through to the PSN and SOE user databases.
2. The group that hacked in was using the anon DDoS attack as a cover to steal user data and then tried to point the finger at anon with the file planted on their servers.
Or anon did nothing and the unknown group launched a DDoS attack as a distraction themselves.
I mean anyone can add a text file to throw people off their trails..

Well sony says otherwise (with regards to the DDoS attack) so either of my theories would still stand with no extras being added.
And at least SCEE has given a bit of information on the freebies with PS3 users getting 2 free games from a choice of 5 and PSP users also getting 2 free games but from a choice of 4 (which should mean that I'd get 4 free games since I own both a PS3 and PSP plus I'd have to get a larger memory stick since the current one I have in my PSP is nearly full).
I swear if those games are the lamest cheap games in the world I'm going to blow my bubble. They are likely going to be games no one wants. :/ I wonder when we get more details on that. I guess it's a sit and wait game. But question PSN was due back this week. They finally realize SOE has also been hacked. [though I think they were not hacked at the same time.. They just left SOE open. I mean how would they find that "anon" file on one but not the other].. Anyways So they discovered that hacked and took that down as well. [Though I wonder with something so major you wouldn't check EVERYTHING you owned].. Why does the discovery of the SOE hack affect PSN as their systems are different. And didn't JPN already get PSN back or was that just rumor? So Sony needs to get the ball moving here shortly. :/
Also found this very amusing timeline. Too large to post here.

Yeah, the game MS gave for free when XBL was down was crap. =\
The Japanese PSN got online for a few hours then it got off a few hours later.
Unfortunately, that's how it always works. Any makeup gift from a company for a screw up on their end is always crap.
Firstly there hasn't been any announcement on what is being offered in America (although I'll be keeping my eye on that anyway since I have a US account) and secondly didn't the information that SOE was based in the same area that the PSN data centre was could mean that the SOE and the PSN data was stored in the same data centre.
Damn the Patriots!
OK! From what I can tell Anonymous did launch the attacks as I found a news report on anouther forum that one of their members was arrested. They are for some reason taking it out of Sony (Those dirty...) *Cough* *Cough* Escuse me. From what I can tell they are Asian (No duh) by looking at they're hair style. I rarely see that distinct hair style among American's and Europeans. They may be from Japan considering it was probably Sony's dueing on that member being arrested. This is pretty much a reveiw on what we know or may not know.
Seriously ._.
I'm not really worried about my personal info, since I pretty much faked everything. What I'm worried about is the $50+ funds in my wallet.
Anyways, I heard that once PSN gets back up, we'll get free games, which will vary depending on where you are. We also get 30 Days of Playstation Plus membership you we don't already have it, and there was something about more free games for Playstation Plus members.
