Haha! What a strange question!^^ I love anime because I love the culture! I love the different styles and the big eyes, small mouthes thing going on. It's a wonderful experience for me!^^

I like it because i think that life is somewhat boring in a way. To clarify, everything can be explained. There are no miracles and there is no magic. Everything that has ever happened, someone surviving a bomb attack, Travis Pastranas triple backflip, evolution, war, etc... nothing is "incredible." Amazing, but not incredible. It can all be explained one way or another.
Anime is the complete opposite. The things you see like people flying through walls and only receiving a bump on the head or summoning beams of light that destroy anything. Those things have no explanation. You can watch it and say wow, I wish that were possible.
Also, i love how simple the stories are to follow most of the time. Theres really not much guesswork involved. The characters blurt out their feelings and thoughts constantly and foreshadowing is pretty much highlighted.
"I hope we don't get attacked."
Wall next to them explodes from an incoming attack less than a minute later.
Being so simple to follow is essential for someone who drinks as much and has an attention span as short as mine. Yet somehow, even being as simple to follow as they are, the emotional roller coaster some can take you on is truly amazing. I think the only non-anime shows that mess with my emotions as much as anime does are Doctor Who and Primeval.

i could go on for a while about other things that i think make it great but that'd just be too much.
To sum it up, Anime is fun!

Honestly, have you seen whats on regular tv now a days. I like the stories they tell, I like the animation, and they are easy to just sit down and watch for 30 min and go do something else, or sit down for 4 hours and almost watch a season.

The reason why I like anime so much is to get away from the regular boring life I've lived for 14 years. Anime is just so exciting and puts you into the moment when you don't want to go back to reality. Well, thats what I think.

And it makes it seem like I'm in a relationship with most of the cute guys in anime. 'Cuz I never really experienced true love :P

It also makes me clean the house when I'm done bleeding non-stop from my nose :3

I really don't know. One day I just happened to see a clip from Hellsing. And I ended up reading the whole manga series.
From then on I have read manga nonstop. I just can't really explain why I like it so much.

I've been asking myself the same question for a while, and I am starting to find it difficult to give a good answer. From 2006 (when I started watching anime properly) to 2009 I was really into anime, it would be the only thing I found worth watching. But the after 2009, I dunno I just felt they stopped making anime of my liking and during the 3 year peroid of anime obssession I watched all the anime that interested me. Like recently the only anime I am liking right now is Sword Art Online. That's it. I used to have at least another 3 different anime to watch as well.

I'll just get to the point. I feel like I've gotten over the honeymoon period with anime, when I thought "Wow! Anime is the best thing ever!" and now it seems I am stuck in a rut. All the new stuff they release I find tedious and practically the same as each other and I am just scraping the barrel trying to find an old series that might reignite that spark with anime and make me fall back in love. But I don't see it happening anytime soon.
