I have experienced this many times in my life, where I watch an anime and it's SOOOOO boring!! That I couldn't stand more than fifteen minutes of it. But I want to hear your opinion.
Q: What anime did you give up on?

My Wi-Fi, it's gone out . . .
I have 43 series on my 'dropped' list. Many of them were half decent but I just couldn't be bothered at the time. Some of them I just really disliked.

I gave up on Blue Gender after two episodes because it looked like it was going nowhere. Later I read the comments of others, which made me give it a second chance. And it was well worth that second chance! My rule now is to give an anime four or five episodes before giving up. So many otherwise good anime got off to slow starts.
On the other hand, there is Gurren Lagann. Gurren Lagann has interesting characters, a seemingly original story line, good animation, and more. Yet I could never get past the second episode. I have no idea why. It is not like the series has nothing going for it. I tried several times, but I just can't continue.

Pokémon: The Series Sun and Moon. Give me a break!

Evangelion.
Anime is a lot like sex. Done right it's a beautiful act of creation that brings a little more light into the world. If it's sick and wrong... it's even better.

I stuck with Evangeleon -- and wish I hadn't. I watched End of Evangeleon hoping they would fix things a bit. They made it worse. They seemed to change things around in EOE and blame Shinji for everything that happened in the past getting that b-tch Asuka off the hook.

I gave up on Evangelon too. The way people talked about it, I thought I was going to be offended. No sign of that, but only after 5-6 eps I didn't enjoy any of it.
In the last year, I gave up on All Out (Wasn't horrible, but wasn't great, imo) and Full Metal Panic.
I didn't like a lot of "Popular" anime. Some of them I gave up on after a long while like Naruto/Shippuden (Just skipped the fillers of Naruto, gave up on Shippuden around ep 140) and Bleach.
More recently there were popular ones that I tried, sometimes more than once, and just couldn't get into, including Fairy Tail, Soul Eater, and D Gray Man. (I know that isn't SUPER recent, but in the last few years I had slowed down on anime and only fairly recently started up again).
Soul Eater I enjoyed. The mixture of comedy and darkness interests me.
I got through the first season of Fairy Tail. Not all bad, but I was left with little desire to watch season 2. The characters, especially the main character, we have all seen before and done better.
I remember Full Metal Panic. I think I did get through the first series, but not the second. I didn't even start the third. Again, standard repeat characters -- as I recall.

No. No more Evangelion for me.

^ You can't go wrong with Monty Python.
Someday maybe I will re-do a fan fic I did on another site: Monty Python's Death Note. I only need the time.
