If your internet is above 1MBPS its okay xD my friend has 1Mbps and he lags on almost everything makes me so happy ^_^

My signature was so old it broke. RIP signature.
Mine is not really the best I would like it at but I suppose it at least runs.
Yeah but I do that on a regular basis. So it's old news to me.
Just kidding :P
I suppose it's good, but it's still not what I really want it to run at. I want a really high end one that runs at like 50 or 60 mb/s and what not.
I wanna be the one person, to destroy 100% of the US.
Wow I ddint even know such speeds existing for residential connections or are you guys with over 10Mb uploads using a commercial connection? Before we moved out to the country a few years ago we lived in the city and I had the fastet connection available at 6Mb down, and payed extra to get a full 1M up. I thought that was fast enough to host my own webserver in addition to everything else we used the net for.
I'm at work now, but at home I rarely even get a full 1Mb down. And thats the fastest connection out here. So right there with you @AkanoYoru . My folks actually had dial up until earlier this year... 56k and they were actually averaging ~28k.
But just for the heck of it I ran a speedtest here at work...
Wish I could get that kind of speed at home. And that is while running probably 20 programs running over the network... I have 15 screens at my desk!

Mine's residential internet O.o (I live in the middle of a crappy town that just happens to have a good fiber-optic infrastructure.)
Although as is obvious, over in the UK residential policies are heavily asynchronous (upload speeds are always either 1/10 or 1/20 of the maximum* download speed) and to be fair 5 megabit is the second fastest upload speed possible (10 is the highest, but requires shelling out $80 a month for a 120meg contract and as I can obviously get above 100 there's no point on me doing that). Any higher and you're looking at a commercial line, which would be 10/10 or 20/20 instead of 110/5 (which is what I have >.>)
That's the downside to this country. People seem to only care about download speeds. They don't realise how bad this country is up until they need to upload videos to youtube or do a livestream. Then they realise we're crap.
* not everyone can get the maximum throughput of their connection speed, which is a shame. My parents (who live 20 miles away) have a 8 megabit contract, but can barely get 1 meg at the best of times... their neighbours, oddly, can get 3 despite being on the same phone lines and network.
The actual internet infrastructure in this country is garbage. end of technological rant.

Forgot about this thread. Was going to do one of my pathetic home internet...
Thats the fastest connection here and thats about as fast as it gets (slows down during the day). Between work and here is like polar opposites. I got 3 fast machines at work, 15 monitors, and super fast internet. Here, one crappy 6 yr old laptop 14" screen with slow internet. I do most of my foruming at work.
