    Default Footnote question

The song I just finished is sort of interesting in that the lyrics that the singer says are different from what was written in the official kanji lyrics. (Whenever the lyrics say 'taiyou'/the sun, he says 'kare'/he.) I would add a footnote to explain it, but at the moment... I can't figure out how to add the footnote. This is how the page looks for me. Is there something I'm missing?

Sorry if this is a little off-topic!

When you submit an English translation for a song whose translit already exists in the site, the footnote function ceases to work, for a reason... I frankly don't know. Anyway, I usually just add "Song Footnotes: [insert footnotes]" under the English translation and an admin edits that in.

I've always assumed that it's so that if the transliterator had footnotes, the translator can't overwrite them, though it is a bit annoying since the translators are more often the ones adding the footnote. Frankly, though, as this site's foibles go, it's pretty minor. I mean, it's not much more work for me to c+p a sentence or two into the footnote field when I'm approving stuff.

  5. Thanks Haze~ thanked for this post
