I remember years ago building a whole bunch of Sheep with just white and black legos.

I once saw a whole movie made out of legos. It looked kinda stupid though, so I didn't really bother with it.
My mood on a daily basis
I may or may not still be playing with legos, and may or may not have recently bought a Lego Metalbeard set...

Did you know Lego was almost a British invention?
However it wasn't patented quick enough
Anything that I build with my Son is the best lego creation ever made :P
Well back in the day ( meaning when I was 4years old and legos where like $2 for a bucket) I built a house ( it wasn't a set just the plain buckets). I was so proud until I ripped it apart and I wanted more so I could build one that I fit in but no my mom never bought me more and now a days you don't really see children playing lego anymore.
One that I had seen recently was on imgur I believe that it was an eclipse star dreadnought. It's the size of a kitchen table! :3

Every great work of art has two faces, one toward its own time and one toward the future, toward eternity.

I had to revive this one, I've been playing with legos for sometime when I was a kid, & I've made lots of creations, nothing extravagant though, I think the best creation I've made back then was a battle tank, good ol' times
Oh I forgot to mention the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 set. Took me a while, but totally worth building it in one sitting! XD
Well, I suppose I can only speak to suburbs in the US, but as far as I can tell legos are if anything even more popular than they once were. They are ubiquitous out here. Lego has even managed to branch out into other media. I think the Lego Movie did pretty well (I actually enjoyed watching it when they showed it at a movie night for the kids, much more than the average family movie). They also now have books for some of their different product lines, which are probalby more than a little responsible for how much one of my daughters is into the Ninjago line and the other into the Friends line.
But I do quite like all the buildings and creations they come up with using a selection my my old legos. Particularly some of the vehicles they've made which have to be big enough for a number of lego characters and an array of pets and/or weapons.
For myself, back in the day I made up a game with legos that my brother and a bunch of our friends would play. There was currency and stuff to buy and it sort of worked out like a Sim City plus a pirate adventure game. Many an hour was spent as they sought to create the most impressive kingdoms or sailing their ships through dangerous monster infested shoals hunting for buried treasure, magic items, or a dragon egg.
A few years ago I bought a bunch of the Star Wars sets and built them all and mocked up a huge battle with flying ships, zip lines, and destruction. All in a jungle landscape.
I also had to get a lot of pieces from the Lego store in Orland when I went lol
That all ended when I decided it was time to stop with Legos, so I took the Republic Gunship and threw it down the stairs yelling that it could fly.... Good times.

The greatest lego creation I have ever seen were more then likely a huge deathstar and millennium falcon!
Somebody actually took the time to build a scale model of the fictional location called Rivendell from the Lord Of The Rings universe, entirely using LEGOs. Very very awesome! Of course this also goes to show that some people have WAY too much time on their hands.
