Well, like I said before, it's still in planning... Activity and timezone differences are some of the big issues being worked on to try to mitigate hassle or unavailability for folks... I know doing it would be cool, but like some I could only partake certain nights and those outside of the US might have difficulty with timezones and such too. It would be nice to just start it up now, but it'll have to be later in order to make it work right the first time around. Heck the top dogs are still working on the coding and such to make it all work how they want it. 'Til then we're just bugging Kaitou Ace to livestream his movie/TV collection. XD Though it might require folks to enter the abyss known as AF Chat to initially join in on the movie night... Not saying you have to enter chat and be active, just enter chat for the link or whatever hubbubaloo in order to watch the stream/presentation. Probably will have some sort of announcement or schedule with directions posted in the forums (possibly even in Misc) though, which may or may not envolve the probie mods running around with sticky notes on their heads.

As unfortunate as it sounds, especially for me personally, I may not be anyone special or a mod, but this forum is getting a bit inactive.


Hell, thanks to AF I found a hobby which I love dearly, and has been helping my depression and gives me a sense of purpose. When someone reads my visual novel reviews, simply just reading it gives me a sense of "I did something today, and someone appreciated/enjoyed/was interested in it", and in a lonely world like this one it means more that you know. 1500 views may not be much to some, but for me it makes all the difference.


I love this forum dearly and would not want anything to happen to it as it holds a dear place in my heart, I try to be active when I can, I mean, its always constantly on a tab in my browser and I refresh it every hour or so, however lately there aren't many threads I find worth posting in or replying to, and not much for me to post a thread myself for, though I do try (Visual Novel Review #5 on the way ^_^ ).


Not sure how that movie night would work, but I would help out if I could.

Welp, I responded to some things here and there xD but the active community itself doesn't seem big enough to support so many discussions at once, especially since everyone has their own interests and tastes, and the active numbers aren't big enough that there are enough people with specific taste to share in their experiences. I am new, but I like it here.

On a side note, any way you can see if a thread you've responded to has also received any responses? Maybe I'm missing something, but at least on mobile, the only way I know I've been addressed or the conversation has grown, is if I'm quoted or liked/thanked. Otherwise I have to hunt manually for the thread, which isnt necessarily the biggest deal buuut.

If you subscribe to a thread it should send you a notification if someone comments on it, or something similar like that to let you know. (Subscribe to Thread in the Thread Tools)

It is a hidden gem that you have to look for :P I am sure it is a basic mechanic of the forum's inner working. Most forums have a topic subscription button. But usually the plain settings are that any thread you reply to will automatically subscribe you unless you turn off the feature.

not a problem. Just based off the amount of activity that there probably was it can be turned off in the Board Settings or be set to a manual options for users. Which makes it more convenient and less cludder when you open your inbox.
