Challenge over in a few hours for me... well, I really bombed it. Never thought I could get so lazy at home, with almost all songs coming at work breaktime. I honestly thought that if I could do 24 in 24 hours, I can do 60 in 720, but I was wrong, I didn't even get to 30.
I can announce that bluepenguin managed to finish her challenge with a day to spare, making her the time-trial winner, and unless Rizu puts in 4 songs before midnight will be the overall winner for the challenge.
...so that you know where you can find me
Yay! I had fallen so behind for a while there that I wasn't sure I was going to complete the challenge, much less win. I have been/will be in transit all day today with spotty internet availability, so I figured I should finish up my last two songs in one go in case I didn't have time to do one today. Even doing them both in one sitting it probably took less time than one Sound Horizon or Maeda Jun song, though.
(I have to say, I was surprised that no one had translated Bara wa Utsukushiku Chiru yet and Onii-sama e... didn't even have a section on the site. No love for Ikeda Riyoko, AL?)
Well, I'm done.
This was my first AnimeLyrics challenge, so I wasn't really sure what to expect of myself. Didn't make my stated goals, but I managed to take a good chunk out of my to-do backlog. Kind of degenerated into "new releases, ooh shiny" toward the end, though... Still, it was nice. I haven't gotten that much done in a month in a long time.
It was pretty fun stalking the thread and watching how everyone progressed over the course of November. You guys were a lot better than I was about getting the compulsory set done first and in sequence, haha...
It's over midnight in the west coast right now and thus I can safely say that this year's NaAniTraMo is OVER!
The results are in! And I can't believe it - Rizuchan DID put in 4 songs before her deadline, making her do a total of 31 songs out of her target 30 and getting the overall win for the challenge!!
But...
I refuse to take anything away from bluepenguin's own effort, including translating a whole Sound Horizon album, so I declare that there are two winners for the 2013 AnimeLyrics.com Challenge:
@Rizuchan & @bluepenguin !!!!
And that concludes the challenge for this year. To everyone who got into the lyric translation spirit and participated in the challenge I would like to say a huge thank you for making this new project really fun and exciting.
I'm glad to announce that we have done 98 songs for the challenge!!! That's around 25 per contestant! How much output is that compared to your annual rate? Whatever goes, please don't hesitate to PM me when you look back and review/cleanup your works.
The challenge will return in November 2014, so until then!

Yay!! I wanted to say yesterday, "Don't count me out yet!" since there were still some songs I planned to get done. Overall I feel good about the challenge though I was certainly getting burnt out by the end. Hopefully I won't stay burnt out for the next couple of months, haha.
Congrats @bluepenguin and everyone else!
Congrats, @Rizuchan !
(P.S. Azu, I am sorry in advance for the 24394739 correction PMs I'm sure I'll be sending you once I've had the chance to look my submissions over again and tidy them up a little.)
