I have growing pains at my knees and ankle and underneath my buttocks at my hip. for a few months I've had slight pain here and there. Could it be possible after measuring my height that I can still grow during the age of 21 years of age for a girl like me. Last time I was 163 cm, I am 166 now. What ages did you stop growing?

I think it's not possible for girls to still grow after 18.
Unless you have some sort of disorder that causes you abnormal growth.

After a girl gets her period she usually only grows a few more centimeters [max 10cm]. So a girl stops grow more or less after she gets her period and "becomes a woman". If you got your period years and years ago, but still grows, then I would advice you to contact a doctor - just to make sure that everything is ok.

I kind of stopped growing in my sophomore year in high school. I can't exactly say what it is and I had to call over my mom to even look at your problem. She mentioned that it's something about the hormones in women, I forgot what it's called because well... idk. lol Better yet, go see the doctor.

Well, on average, females tend to stop growing at around age 20. While its uncommon for girls to continue to grow after that age, its not unheard of. An additional 3 cm in such a short time is not really normal (especially at your age), but its also not a huge growth that warrants a lot of concern. Are you eating a healthy diet? Are you exercising? These things can actually increase your height a little bit (especially if you weren't doing those things before). Although, you could also have an issue with your hormones (but that really depends on the length of time between measurements). You should probably see a doctor, if only to take care of those growing pains. The increase in height doesn't seem to be too much of an issue (especially if you are active and healthy in all other aspects), but I am not a doctor.

For me, I stopped growing in height about 3-4 years ago. Unless there are some small increments that I am unaware off, I am at my final height of 5'7" (167 cm).

It should also be noted that your height varies over the day. If you measure your height in the morning, you will be several centimeters (an inch or two) taller than what your height will be in the evening, as your spine stretches when you sleep, and compresses when you're upright.

I really wouldn't worry about it. Even though it's somewhat rare to grow a bit in your early 20s, it's hardly unheard of. People are very different when it comes to maturation.

Hello girls and guy? I have growing pains at my knees, if periods did that all women would have fel it at their knees and hips. Also I had my period 8dec-12dec... its the 23dec now. It's my mother and father's anniversery... So its not my period or ovalation causing the pain at my legs and ankle.

As far as I'm aware, height differs from person to person; a woman stops growing about 3 years after her first period.
But in general terms, you meet your final height between the ages of 16-21.

OP, you said you have been experiencing pains in your knees for a couple of months now, so why, instead of asking us, have you not gone to see a doctor yet ?

Your issues appear to be within your jointed areas. Could be a sign of a form of arthritis or maybe poor circulation. It could just be your final year of growth spurts or a hormonal condition some taller people develop. Its worth having doctors look into if its a concern.

I had a grandfather who was really tall, I could get it from his side. Which is odd. My sister says I'll get tall kids when Their old like me at 21.
