What do you think will someday Square Enix release Final Fantasy VII Remake for Next Generations Console?
I don't think so. Some people will probably get upset that other final fantasies won't get a remake. Also they're too busy finishing up on 13 and 13 versus. So if they do, won't be for a long time.
Yep, Id prefer FF8 to have a remake, much better game (In my opinion)

Of course it will happen. Everyone knows Square Enix treats FFVII even worse than GAINAX treats Evangelion.
They'll squeeze every last penny they can out of it.

I would like to play a remake, but if they make it, it'll probably be on the PS3, which I don't have. I hope they don't just cause I don't want to hear all my friends with PS3's saying how awesome it is. I got enough of that from Metal Gear Solid 4.
If they make the remake, I'd like too see it on PS3. And I hope to that will be some Special Edition maybe with the OST, Game Making, complete characters profiles as well the list of all weapons, items and armors.

DO NOT change the storyline, only small additions.
DO NOT change the battle system.
DO NOT change the music (unless they make it all orchestrated rather than keyboard stuffs).
DO NOT add characters.
DO NOT make the characters look like they did in Advent Children, I'll cry.
Add more side games and side quests. =D

It'll happen on the 20th annervesary of FF7. that's when they've said they'll be finishing up the FF7 world. What better way to do that then to remake what started it all, and try to get new gammers into the classic while oldies rebuy it for nostolgic reasons.
I wouldn't mind too much of a change in it. The battle system might be better of taking a FFX-2 approach. Not dress spheres >_>. Just a much more active and fast passed one.
And the Golden Saucer must be 10times the size ^^
It'll probably be exclusive to a sony console aswell, since they'd need to be pretty thick to let it go when they've had so much to do with the FF7 world up until now.
I also don't see a reason against a remake for FF8. Squall goes through much more character growth from what I remember, and I enjoy Squall as a character more than Cloud. That doesn't mean I don't like Cloud, Squall just appeals to me more so. Final Fantasy 8 remains as one of my favorite stories, and the junction system was fresh and new (at least to me).
But I think they might make a re-make, and I say "Why not?". Not like I'll be able to play if until Ps3 becomes cheap as all hell, and even then, Ps5 might be out by that time. >.>

I dunno, I think it has been milked more than enough, but if they see more money in it, they will milk it.
And I know its a nice thing to ask, but they will change the entire game, and just be like "Hey kids, its Cloud! it must be FFVII!!!!" But meh, I only really like VII for its old school charm, like how they rub there face with there hands when trying to rub their chin or the old school music.
All I'd want from a VII remake is VII with shiney, pretty, new graphics, as long as it aye like Fallout 3 or Killzone 2 i.e. the only colours are gunmetal grey and dirt brown.
Keep the music, keep the lack of voices, keep the camera system, keep the combat system and most of all, keep the freakin' menu.
Or, if they really want to add voices, honest to god, please give us an option to disable them if the English ones suck unholy balls.

While I do find the amount of FFVII love to be annoying. I'd be ok with a remake of it for a handheld only after FFV and FFIV get the remake treatment.
Yeah, I'd rather hear Cloud speak in a squeaky Japanese voice than a terrible English voice, or better still his mono-tone I have no emotion voice in Advent Children.
But they are Square-Enix, they are a big game publishing company like EA, they go for speed of release, not quality.
I would like to play a remake of Final Fantasy VII (Just hope Square Enix would release it on Xbox 360 or PS3),but I don't think we'll see that on these consoles. Maybe in the next generation of consoles, but it'd be doubtful. I'd much rather play a remake of Final Fantasy VI. Seeing all those sprites in great graphics and Kefka....it'd be great.
As far as remakes, it seems they've been more focused on FFs 1-6. Eventually though, they'll have to remake 7-9. After all, I think most of us can live without a 5th release of FF4.

From what I understand, they are making a sequel to Final Fantasy IV.
i think i remember i final fantasy VII trailer that was advertised for Ps3 or some other high-end system, but it wasnt out yet...
it was prbly for one of the movies but i still vaguely remember it being a video game...
It was just a demo to test the PS3's capabilities if I remember right.
And they're really going to release an FF4 sequel?

I believe so. I think I remember reading it the last issue of Gameinformer.
It is supposed to take place twenty years in the future.
I don't want a remake, its been milked enough as it is.
