Uhm, I'm not quite sure what part of the Forum this post belongs in. The lyric section is for Japanese translations, and the JRock and JPop section is just to discuss which music is better. So, uhm, if I've placed this in the wrong section please close the thread... ^^; Sorry.

Anyways~ uhm. This question sorta feels awkward to ask on AF, but I guess most otakus do it... anybody know any good Vocaloid songs to cover? I'm trying to audition for a chorus group on YouTube.

Ehh~ I'm a girl, so I can sing higher pitches better. I think my vocal range is E3 - A5... I've tried singing CORRUPTION GARDEN and potato-head in wonderland (Vocaloid songs by Luka Megurine CV03 and Miku Hatsune CV01) and they came out sorta-good. I can do screamo but it's not the, uhm, best. XD;;

You have two choices..

Two things:

1. As a general rule, if you don't know where to post something, its better to ask the moderator of the sub-forum about what you want to post instead of guessing and posting something in the wrong place.

2. While there are plenty of Vocaloid songs out there for you to try, I can't help you pick any good songs to cover without hearing your voice, or worse, without you understanding your own voice. I could pick a song just from hearing your voice, but won't give me enough information about your vocal range; you should know what it is (don't leave it up to other people to guess). Its just a YouTube chorus group, yes, but you need to understand the range of your own voice before you reach out to others asking for help based upon it.

Saying "I'm a girl" doesn't give me a lot of information on your vocal range nor does it confirm the fact that you can sing high-pitched notes. Hell, I'm a girl and I'm an alto singer (I belt, but that's not to hit high notes).

Guess the best advice would be to pick a song that you are comfortable singing.

Well, the thread doesn't necessarily need to be closed; it should be moved, if only because its technically in the wrong place (but the moderators will be the ones to make the final decision on that).

And what pitch notation are you using for your vocal range? Because E3-A5 is very impressive....

As in, suspiciously impressive....

As in, since you told us before that you didn't know what your vocal range was, depending on the notation you used to figure it out, I'm pretty sure you made one up.
