Portal 2: The return of online cross-platform?

I couldn't really play the original Portal that much due to the fact that it makes me nauseous. Don't get me wrong, it's fun to play but after a while i begin to feel sick. I don't know why, i just get the feeling that i'm gonna puke. (Maybe it's the graphics) I won't be playing this one due to the issue with the original(and i don't have a ps3).

I would get it for pc, but the processor on my laptop isn't fast enough. I don't own a Xbox either.

Actually I just checked the system requirements for the game and I realised this MIGHT possibly work on my laptop ... not necessarily playable, but should work.

My desktop PC would own it though, but I already decided on the xbox version in order to get gamerscore >>

It seems like the new games require a top of the line gaming PC. It think the processor requirements for Portal 2 was for a 3.0 GHz dual core processor, and mine is a 2.2GHz single core Celeron so it won't be able to play.

a 3.0Ghz Pentium 4 or a 2.0Ghz dual-core, actually.

So yeah ... my laptop is 1.7Ghz dual-core, hence my sceptism >_> but my desktop will run anything. The problem is usually more graphics-oriented than physics-oriented. :/

Game already got leaked and some son of a guns already got the game for Xbox 360 legit. >.> GameStop was giving it out but I couldn't pick it up cause the idiots weren't doing it for PS3. >.>

I bought it on Steam, so I will be playing it when GLaDOS finishes booting up, most likely.

Considering the official release date here is the 21st, getting it on what is likely to be the 18th is all but a good thing.

And yes, that does mean I will be able to play co-op ... though I reckon it's going to lag something hardcore.

I, being poor without any big gaming consoles, will just have to watch others' online gameplay videos to satisfy my curiosity.

Also, I hope it'll have a theme song that's at least on par in quality with Still Alive.

Well, I'm getting the xbox version for the gamerscore (seems to be relatively easy getting the achievements for the most part - I got most of the singleplayer ones just by playing it through normally) so I'd rather play the co-op on xbox, but I intentionally got the PC version in order to play people who have/are getting it on PS3, as well as to be able to record gameplay.

It's a gazillion times better than the original ... just gotta wait for the custom maps to start coming out.

my laptop is 6 years old with a 1.8 something processor that was made before the advent of dual core, so playing Portal 2 on my laptop will definitely fry it for good.

Loved the game, but I'm gonna have to go at ends with Ran. I think the first one was better. Simply from the way it played out and had you learn the story from hidden writings and the like.

I meant in terms of gameplay, maybe not necessarily the story mechanic. To be honest, the plot twists in the sequel surprised me more than the first game, but the first game's story was, definitely, more difficult to work out.

I kinda did. Would have been an awfully short game if it ended where you removed GLADoS. Not to mention the entire game kinda felt like a parody.

Co-op is really fun as well.

Wasn't laggy at all ... though I WAS playing with a friend who lives maybe 200 miles away. o.o
